He was considered a teacher and a prophet. He was ordained by the Ruach HaKadosh/Holy Spirit to rescue Ephraim from the nations. He was from the island of Cyprus. He observed Shabbat with the Jewish people. He was a key speaker and delegate at the Acts 15 Jerusalem Council. He was a chosen ambassador by the Jerusalem Council and was sent out with their rulings. He continued secular work. He was a believer before Paul. He donated large amounts of land and other material needs to the early Nazarene Yisraelite community. His nephew was Yochanan Moshe/John Mark author of the gospel bearing his name. The Epistle of Barnabas-Bar-Nava is a Greek treatise with some features of an epistle containing twenty-one chapters, preserved complete in the 4th century Codex Sinaiticus where it appears at the end of the Renewed Covenant/New Testament. It is traditionally ascribed to the Barnabas-Bar-Nava who is mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles.
