To Our Forefathers Yahsrahal

1 Now these are the shemoth of the children of Yahsrahal, which came into Mitzrayim; every man and his household came with Yaakov.

2 Rauvan, Shimon, Lawi and Yahudah,

3 Yissachar, Zavulun and Banyamin,

4 Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Ashar.

5 And all the beings that came out of the loins of Yaakov were seventy-five beings: for Yosaph was in Mitzrayim already.

6 And Yosaph died and all his brothers and all that generation.

7 And the children of Yahsrahal were fruitful and increased abundantly and multiplied and became exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them.

8 Now there arose up a new malach over Mitzrayim, who knew not Yosaph.

9 And he said to his people, See, the people of the children of Yahsrahal are more and mightier than us:

10 Come, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply and it comes to pass, that, when there comes upon us any war, they join with our enemies and fight against us and then leave the land.

11 Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh the treasure cities, of Pithom and Raamses.

12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Yahsrahal.

13 And the Mitzrim made the children of Yahsrahal to serve with harshness:

14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, with mortar and with brick and with all manner of service in the field: all their service, which they made them serve, was with harshness.

15 And the malach of Mitzrayim spoke to the Avri midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah:

16 And he said, When you perform the office of a midwife to the Avri women and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then you shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

17 But the midwives feared Myhla and did not obey what the malach of Mitzrayim commanded them, but saved the male children alive.

18 And the malach of Mitzrayim called for the midwives and said to them, Why have you done this thing and have saved the male children alive?

19 And the midwives said to Pharaoh, Because the Avri women are not as the Mitzri women; for they are lively and are delivered before the midwives come in to help them.

20 Therefore Myhla dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied and became very mighty.

21 And it came to pass because the midwives feared Myhla, that He made them batiym.

22 And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born to you, him shall you cast into the river, but every daughter you shall save alive.

2 And there went a man from bait Lawi and took as an isha a daughter of Lawi.

2 And the woman conceived and bore a son: and when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three chodashem.

3 And when she could no longer hide him, she took for him an ark of wicker and coated it with slime and with pitch and put the child inside; and she laid it in the reeds by the river's bank.

4 And his sister stood far off, to know what would happen to him.

5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her female avadim walked along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her avad to get it.

6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, see, the baby wept. And she had rachamim on him and said, This is one of the Avrit children.

7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter, Shall I go and call for you a nurse from the Avri women, that she may nurse the child for you?

8 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the avad went and called the child's eema.

9 And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Take this child away and nurse it for me and I will give you your wages. And the woman took the child and nursed it.

10 And the child grew and she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son. And she called his name Mosha: and she said, Because I drew him out of the mayim.

11 And it came to pass in those yamim, when Mosha had grown, that he went out to his brothers and looked on their burdens: and he saw a Mitzri smiting an Avri, one of his brothers.

12 And he looked all around and when he saw that there was no man, he killed the Mitzri and hid him in the sand.

13 And when he went out the second yom, see, two men of the Avrim argued together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Why did you smite your neighbor?

14 And he said, Who made you a sar and a shophat over us? Do you intend to kill me, as you killed the Mitzri? And Mosha feared and said, Surely this thing is known.

15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Mosha. But Mosha fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midyan: and he sat down by a well.

16 Now the kohan of Midyan had seven daughters: and they came and drew mayim and filled the bowls to give mayim to their abba's flock.

17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Mosha stood up and helped them and watered their flock.

18 And when they came to Rau-Al their abba, he said, How is it that you came back so soon today?

19 And they said, A Mitzri delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds and also drew enough mayim for us and watered the flock.

20 And he said to his daughters: And where is he? Why is it that you have left the man? Call him, that he may eat a meal.

21 And Mosha was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Mosha Tzipporah his daughter.

22 And she bore him a son and he called his name Garshom: for he said, I have been a ger in a strange land.

23 And it came to pass in due time that the malach of Mitzrayim died: and the children of Yahsrahal sighed because of the bondage and they cried and their cry came up to Myhla because of the bondage.

24 And Myhla heard their groaning and Myhla remembered His brit with Avraham, with Yitzchak and with Yaakov.

25 And Myhla looked upon the children of Yahsrahal and Myhla took note of them.

3 Now Mosha kept the flock of Yithro his abba-in-law, the kohen of Midyan: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert and came to the Har of Myhla, even to Horev.

2 And The Malach-YHUH appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked and, see, the bush burned with fire and the bush was not consumed.

3 And Mosha said, I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.

4 And when YHUH saw that he turned aside to see, Myhla called to him out of the midst of the bush and said, Mosha, Mosha! And he said, Hinayne.

5 And He said, Draw not near here: put off your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you stand is kadosh ground.

6 Moreover He said, I AM YHUH the Myhla of your abba, the Myhla of Avraham, the Myhla of Yitzchak and the Myhla of Yaakov. And Mosha hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon Myhla.

7 And YHUH said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people which are in Mitzrayim and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

8 And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Mitzrim and to bring them up out of that land to a lovely and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Kanaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Parizzites and the Hivites and the Yavusites.

9 Now therefore, see, the cry of the children of Yahsrahal has come to Me: and I have also seen the oppression with which the Mitzrim oppress them.

10 Come now therefore and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring forth My people the children of Yahsrahal out of Mitzrayim.

11 And Moshe said to Myhla , Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and that I should bring forth the children of Yahsrahal out of Mitzrayim?

12 And He said, Certainly I will be with you; and this shall be an ot to you, that I have sent you: When you have brought forth the people out of Mitzrayim, you shall serve Myhla upon this har.

13 And Moshe said to Myhla, See, when I come to the children of Yahsrahal and shall say to them, The Myhla of your ahvot has sent me to you; and they shall say to me, What is His Name? What shall I say to them?

14 And The Word of Myhla said to Mosha, Ayah Ashar Ayah: and He said, This shall you say to the children of Yahsrahal, AYAH has sent me to you.

15 And Myhla said moreover to Mosha, This shall you say to the children of Yahsrahal, YHUH Myhla of your ahvot, the Myhla of Avraham, the Myhla of Yitzchak and the Myhla of Yaakov, has sent me to you: this is My Name la-olam-va-ad and this is My memorial to all generations.

16 Go and gather the zachanim of Yahsrahal together and say to them, YHUH Myhla of your ahvot, the Myhla of Avraham, of Yitzchak and of Yaakov, appeared to me, saying, I have surely visited you and have seen that which is done to you in Mitzrayim:

17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Mitzrayim to the land of the Kanaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Yavusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

18 And they shall listen to your voice: and you shall come, you and the zachanim of Yahsrahal, to the malach of Mitzrayim and you shall say to him,YHUH Myhla of the Avrim has met with us: and now please let us go on a three yamim' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to YHUH our Myhla.

19 And I YHUH AM sure that the malach of Mitzrayim will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand.

20 And I will stretch out My hand and smite Mitzrayim with all My wonders that I will do in the midst of it: and after that he will let you go.

21 And I will give this people chan in the sight of the Mitzrim: and it shall come to pass, that when you go, you shall not go empty:

22 But every woman shall take from her neighbor and from her that sojourns in her bayit, jewels of silver and jewels of gold and garments: and you shall put them upon your sons and upon your daughters; and you shall plunder the Mitzrim.

4 And Mosha answered and said, But, see, they will not believe me, nor listen to my voice: for they will say, YHUH has not appeared to you.

2 And YHUH said to him, What is that in your hand? And he said, A rod.

3 And He said, Cast it on the ground! And he cast it on the ground and it became a serpent; and Mosha fled from before it.

4 And YHUH said to Mosha, Put forth your hand and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand and caught it and it became a rod in his hand:

5 So that they may believe that YHUH Myhla of their ahvot, the Myhla of Avraham, the Myhla of Yitzchak and the Myhla of Yaakov, has appeared to you.

6 And YHUH said furthermore to him, Put now your hand into your bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, see, his hand was leprous as snow.

7 And He said, Put your hand back into your bosom again. And he put his hand back into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom and, see, it had turned again as his other flesh.

8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe you, neither listen to the voice of the first ot, that they will believe the voice of the latter ot.

9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither listen to your voice, that you shall take from the mayim of the river and pour it upon the dry land: and the mayim which you take out of the river shall become dahm upon the dry land.

10 And Mosha said to YHUH, O YHUH, I am not eloquent, neither before, nor since You have spoken to Your avad: but I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue.

11 And YHUH said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or, who makes the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Have not I YHUH?

12 Now therefore go and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.

13 And he said, O YHUH, I beg You; by the hand of someone else please send deliverance.

14 And the anger of YHUH burned against Mosha and He said, Is not Aharon the Lawi your ach? I know that he can speak well. And also, see, he comes forth to meet you: and when he sees you, he will have simcha in his lav.

15 And you shall speak to him and put words in his mouth: and I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and will teach you what you shall do.

16 And he shall be your spokesman to the people: and he shall be to you like a mouth and you shall be to him in Myhla ’s place.

17 And you shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.

18 And Mosha went and returned to Yithro his abba-in-law and said to him, Let me go, please and return to my brothers who are in Mitzrayim and see whether they still are alive. And Yithro said to Mosha, Go in shalom.

19 And YHUH said to Mosha in Midyan, Go, return into Mitzrayim: for all the men are dead who sought your chayim.

20 And Mosha took his isha and his sons and put them upon a donkey and he returned to the land of Mitzrayim: and Mosha took the rod of Myhla in his hand.

21 And YHUH said to Mosha, When you go to return to Mitzrayim, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in your hand: but I will harden his lav, that he shall not let the people go.

22 And you shall say to Pharaoh, This said YHUH, Yahsrahal is My Son, even My bachor:

23 And I say to you, Let My Son go, that he may serve Me: and if you refuse to let him go, see, I will slay your son, even your bachor.

24 And it came to pass in the darach at the lodging place that YHUH met Mosha and sought to stun him.

25 Then Tzipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her blocked lev, and brought herself to his feet and she said, Surely you are indeed a bridegroom of dahm for me.

26 So YHUH let her go: then she said, A bridegroom of dahm you are for me, in order to be brit-milah.

27 And YHUH said to Aharon, Go into the wilderness to meet Mosha. And he went and met him on the har of Myhla and kissed him.

28 And Mosha told Aharon all the Words of YHUH who had sent him and all the signs, which He had commanded him.

29 And Mosha and Aharon went and gathered together all the zachanim of the children of Yahsrahal:

30 And Aharon spoke all the Words that YHUH had spoken to Mosha and did the signs in the sight of the people.

31 And the people believed: and when they heard that YHUH had visited the children of Yahsrahal and that He had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

5 And afterward Moshe and Aharon went in and told Pharaoh, This says YHUH Myhla of Yahsrahal, Let My people go, that they may hold a moad to Me in the midbar.

2 And Pharaoh said, Who is this YHUH that I should obey His voice to let Yahsrahal go? I know not YHUH, neither will I let Yahsrahal go.

3 And they said, The Myhla of the Avrim has met with us: let us go for a three yom journey into the desert and sacrifice to YHUH our Myhla; lest He fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

4 And the malach of Mitzrayim said to them, Why do you, Mosha and Aharon, take the people away from their work? Get back to your burdens.

5 And Pharaoh said, See, the people of the land now are many, and you make them rest from their burdens.

6 And Pharaoh commanded the same yom the taskmasters of the people and their officers, saying,

7 You shall no more give the people straw to make bricks, as before: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

8 And the same amount of bricks, which they did make before, you shall require it of them; you shall not diminish any of it: for they are idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our Myhla .

9 Let even more work be laid upon the men, that they may labor in it; and let them not regard vain words.

10 And the taskmasters of the people went out and their officers and they spoke to the people, saying, This said Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

11 Go get your straw wherever you can find it: yet none of your work shall be diminished.

12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Mitzrayim to gather stubble instead of straw.

13 And the taskmasters hurried them, saying, Fulfill your work, your daily tasks just like when there was straw.

14 And the foremen of the children of Yahsrahal, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten and asked, Why have you not fulfilled your task in making bricks both yesterday and today, as before?

15 Then the foremen of the children of Yahsrahal came and cried to Pharaoh, saying, Why do you treat your avadim this darach?

16 There is no straw given to your avadim and they say to us, Make bricks: and, see, your avadim are beaten; but the fault is with your own people.

17 But he said, You are idle; therefore you say, Let us go and do sacrifice to YHUH.

18 Go therefore now and work; for there shall no straw be given to you, yet shall you deliver the same amount of bricks.

19 And the foremen of the children of Yahsrahal did see that they were in trouble, after it was said, You shall not diminish any from the bricks of your daily task.

20 And they met Mosha and Aharon, who stood in the darach, as they came forth from Pharaoh:

21 And they said to them,YHUH look upon you and judge; because you have made us to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of his avadim, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

22 And Mosha returned to YHUH and said, YHUH, why have You done this evil to this people? Why is it that You have sent me?

23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your Name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all.

6 Then YHUH said to Mosha, Now shall you see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

2 And Myhla spoke to Mosha and said to him, I AM YHUH:

3 And I appeared to Avraham, to Yitzchak and to Yaakov, in and as Al-Shaddai, but by My Name YHUH was I not known to them? 

4 And I have also established My brit with them, to give them the land of Kanaan, the land of their pilgrimage, where they were garim.

5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Yahsrahal, whom the Mitzrim keep in bondage; and I have remembered My brit.

6 Therefore say to the children of Yahsrahal, I AM YHUH and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Mitzrim and I will deliver you out of their bondage and I will redeem you with an outstretched Arm, and with great mishpatim:

7 And I will take you to Me for a people and I will be your Myhla : and you shall know that I AM YHUH your Myhla, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Mitzrim.

8 And I will bring you in to the land, concerning which I did swear to give it to Avraham, to Yitzchak and to Yaakov; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I AM YHUH.

9 And Mosha spoke this to the children of Yahsrahal: but they listened not to Moshe because of their anguish of ruach and cruel bondage.

10 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

11 Go in, speak to Pharaoh malach of Mitzrayim, so that he lets the children of Yahsrahal go out of his land.

12 And Mosha spoke before YHUH, saying, See, the children of Yahsrahal have not listened to me; how then shall Pharaoh listen to me, I who am of untrained lips?

13 And YHUH spoke to Mosha and to Aharon and gave them a command for the children of Yahsrahal and to Pharaoh malach of Mitzrayim, to bring the children of Yahsrahal out from the land of Mitzrayim.

14 These are the heads of their ahvots’ batiym: The sons of Rauvan the bachor of Yahsrahal; Hanoch and Pallu, Hatzron and Carmi: these are the mishpachot of Rauvan.

15 And the sons of Shimon, Yamu-Al and Yamin and Ohad and Yachin and Zohar and Shaul the son of a Kanaanite woman: these are the mishpachot of Shimon.

16 And these are the names of the sons of Lawi according to their generations; Garshon and Qahath and Marari: and the years of the chayim of Lawi were one hundred thirty seven years.

17 The sons of Garshon; Libni and Shimi, according to their mishpachot.

18 And the sons of Qahath; Amram and Izhar and Chabron and Uzzial: and the years of the chayim of Qahath were one hundred thirty three years.

19 And the sons of Marari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the mishpachot of Lawi according to their generations.

20 And Amram took Yochavad his abba's sister as an isha; and she bore him Aharon and Mosha: and the years of the chayim of Amram were a hundred thirty seven years.

21 And the sons of Izhar; Korach and Naphag and Zichri.

22 And the sons of Uzzi-Al; Misha-Al and Alzaphan and Zithri.

23 And Aharon took Alishava, daughter of Amminadav, sister of Naashon, as an isha; and she bore him Nadav and Avihu, Al-Azar and Ithamar.

24 And the sons of Korach; Assir and Alchanah and Aviasaph: these are the mishpachot of the Korachites.

25 And Al-Azar Aharon's son took one of the daughters of Putial as an isha; and she bore him Pinchus: these are the heads of the ahvot of the Lawiym according to their mishpachot.

26 These are Aharon and Mosha, to whom YHUH said, Bring out the children of Yahsrahal from the land of Mitzrayim according to their divisions.

27 These are the ones who spoke to Pharaoh malach of Mitzrayim, to bring out the children of Yahsrahal from Mitzrayim: this is that Mosha and Aharon.

28 And it came to pass on the yom when YHUH spoke to Mosha in the land of Mitzrayim,

29 That YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying, I AM YHUH: speak to Pharaoh malach of Mitzrayim all that I say to you.

30 And Mosha said before YHUH, See, I am of untrained lips and why should Pharaoh listen to me?

7 And YHUH said to Mosha, See, I have made you like an ahlahim to Pharaoh: and Aharon your brother shall be your navi.

2 You shall speak all that I command you: and Aharon your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, to send the children of Yahsrahal out of his land.

3 And I will harden Pharaoh's lev and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Mitzrayim.

4 But Pharaoh shall not listen to you, that I may lay My hand upon Mitzrayim and bring forth My divisions and My people the children of Yahsrahal, out of the land of Mitzrayim by great mishpatim.

5 And the Mitzrim shall know that I AM YHUH, when I stretch forth My hand upon Mitzrayim and bring out the children of Yahsrahal from among them.

6 And Moshe and Aharon did as YHUH commanded them; so did they.

7 And Mosha was eighty years old and Aharon eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.

8 And YHUH spoke to Moshe and to Aharon, saying,

9 When Pharaoh shall speak to you, saying, Show a miracle for yourselves: then you shall say to Aharon, Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh and it shall become a serpent.

10 And Moshe and Aharon went in to Pharaoh and they did as YHUH had commanded and Aharon cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his avadim and it became a serpent.

11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: and the magicians of Mitzrayim, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

12 For they cast down every man his rod and they became serpents: but Aharon's rod swallowed up their rods.

13 And He hardened Pharaoh's lev, so that he listened not to them; as YHUH had said.

14 And YHUH said to Moshe, Pharaoh's lav is hardened; he refuses to let the people go.

15 Go to Pharaoh in the bokar; see, he goes out to the mayim; and you shall stand by the river's bank to meet him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shall you take in your hand.

16 And you shall say to him,YHUH Myhla of the Avrim has sent me to you, saying, Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness: and, see, before you would not listen.

17 This says YHUH, In this you shall know that I AM YHUH: see, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand upon the mayim, which are in the river and they shall be turned to dahm.

18 And the fish that are in the river shall die and the river shall stink; and the Mitzrim shall find it impossible to drink of the mayim of the river.

19 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, Say to Aharon, Take your rod and stretch out your hand upon the mayim of Mitzrayim, upon their streams, upon their rivers and upon their ponds and upon all their pools of mayim, that they may become dahm; and that there may be dahm throughout all the land of Mitzrayim, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.

20 And Mosha and Aharon did so, as YHUH commanded; and he lifted up the rod and smote the mayim that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his avadim; and all the mayim that were in the river were turned to dahm.

21 And the fish that were in the river died; and the river smelled and the Mitzrim could not drink of the mayim of the river; and there was dahm throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

22 And the magicians of Mitzrayim did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's lev was hardened, neither did he listen to them; as YHUH had said.

23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his bayit neither did he set his lav to this also.

24 And all the Mitzrim dug all around the river for mayim to drink; for they could not drink of the mayim of the river.

25 And seven yamim were fulfilled, after YHUH had smitten the river.

8 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, Go to Pharaoh and say to him, This says YHUH, Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

2 And if you refuse to let them go, see, I will smite all your borders with frogs:

3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into your bayit and into your bedroom and upon your bed and into the bayit of your avadim and upon your people and into your ovens and into your kneading bowls:

4 And the frogs shall come up both on you and upon your people and upon all your avadim.

5 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, Say to Aharon, Stretch forth your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers and over the ponds and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Mitzrayim.

6 And Aharon stretched out his hand over the mayim of Mitzrayim; and the frogs came up and covered the land of Mitzrayim.

7 And the magicians did so with their enchantments and brought up frogs upon the land of Mitzrayim.

8 Then Pharaoh called for Mosha and Aharon and said, Make tafillah to YHUH, that He may take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice to YHUH.

9 And Mosha said to Pharaoh, Explain yourself to me: when shall I make tafillah for you and for your avadim and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your batiym, that they may remain in the river only?

10 And he said, Tomorrow. And Mosha said, Be it according to your word: that you may know that there is none like YHUH our Myhla.

11 And the frogs shall depart from you and from your batiym and from your avadim and from your people; they shall remain in the river only.

12 And Mosha and Aharon went out from Pharaoh: and Mosha cried to YHUH because of the frogs that He had brought against Pharaoh.

13 And YHUH did according to the word of Mosha; and the frogs died out of the batiym, out of the villages and out of the fields.

14 And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land smelled.

15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his lav and listened not to them; as YHUH had said.

16 And YHUH said to Mosha, Say to Aharon, Stretch out your rod and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

17 And they did so; for Aharon stretched out his hand with his rod and smote the dust of the earth and it became lice in man and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

18 And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man and upon beast.

19 Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, This is the finger of Myhla: and Pharaoh's lev was hardened and he listened not to them; as YHUH had said.

20 And YHUH said to Mosha, Rise up early in the bokar and stand before Pharaoh; see, he comes forth to the mayim; and say to him, This says YHUH, Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

21 Or, else, if you will not let My people go, see, I will send swarms of flies upon you and upon your avadim and upon your people and into your batiym: and the batiym of the Mitzrim shall be full of swarms of flies and also the ground where they are.

22 And I will separate in that yom the land of Goshan, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; so that you may know that I AM YHUH in the midst of the earth.

23 And I will put a division between My people and your people: tomorrow shall this ot be.

24 And YHUH did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the bayit of Pharaoh and into his avadim’s batiym and into all the land of Mitzrayim: the land was ruined by reason of the swarm of flies.

25 And Pharaoh called for Mosha and for Aharon and said, Go, sacrifice to your Myhla in the land.

26 And Mosha said, It is not right to do so; for we would be sacrificing the abomination of the Mitzrim to YHUH our Myhla: see, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Mitzrim before their eyes and will they not stone us?

27 We will go three yamim' journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to YHUH our Myhla, as He shall command us.

28 And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to YHUH your ahlahim in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away: make tafillah for me.

29 And Moshe said, See, I go out from you and I will make tafillah to YHUH that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his avadim and from his people, tomorrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully anymore in not letting the people go to sacrifice to YHUH.

30 And Mosha went out from Pharaoh and made tafillah to YHUH.

31 And YHUH did according to the word of Mosha; and He removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his avadim and from his people; there remained not one.

32 And Pharaoh hardened his lev at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

9 Then YHUH said to Mosha, Go in to Pharaoh and tell him, This says YHUH Myhla of the Avrim, Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

2 For if you refuse to let them go and will hold them still,

3 See, the Hand of YHUH is upon your cattle that are in the field, upon the horses, upon the donkeys, upon the camels, upon the oxen and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous pestilence.

4 And YHUH shall separate between the cattle of Yahsrahal and the cattle of Mitzrayim: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children of Yahsrahal’s.

5 And YHUH appointed a set time, saying, Tomorrow YHUH shall do this thing in the land.

6 And YHUH did that thing on the next yom and all the cattle of Mitzrayim died: but of the cattle of the children of Yisrael not one died.

7 And Pharaoh sent and, see, there was not one of the cattle of the Yisraelites dead. And the lev of Pharaoh was hardened and he did not let the people go.

8 And YHUH said to Mosha and to Aharon, Take handfuls of ashes of a furnace and let Mosha sprinkle it toward the shamayim in the sight of Pharaoh.

9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Mitzrayim and shall be for boils breaking forth with sores upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

10 And they took ashes of the furnace and stood before Pharaoh; and Mosha sprinkled it up toward the shamayim; and it became a boil breaking forth with sores upon man and upon beast.

11 And the magicians could not stand before Mosha because of the boils; for the boils were upon the magicians and upon all the Mitzrim.

12 And YHUH hardened the lav of Pharaoh and he listened not to them; as YHUH had spoken to Mosha.

13 And YHUH said to Mosha, Rise up early in the bokar and stand before Pharaoh and say to him, This says YHUH Myhla of the Avrim, Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

14 For I will at this time send all My plagues upon your lev and upon your avadim and upon your people; that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth.

15 For now I will stretch out My hand, that I may smite you and your people with pestilence; and you shall be cut off from the earth.

16 And indeed for this cause have I raised you up, for to show in you My Power; and that My Name may be declared throughout all the earth.

17 Yet you still exalt yourself against My people, that you will not let them go?

18 See, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Mitzrayim since the foundation of it even until now.

19 Therefore now, send for and gather your cattle and all that you have in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them and they shall die.

20 Those that feared The Word of YHUH among the avadim of Pharaoh made their avadim and cattle flee into their batiym:

21 But those that regarded not The Word of YHUH left their avadim and their cattle in the field.

22 And YHUH said to Mosha, Stretch forth your hand toward the shamayim, that there may be hail in all the land of Mitzrayim, upon man and upon beast and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Mitzrayim.

23 And Mosha stretched forth his rod toward the shamayim: and YHUH sent thunder and hail and the fire ran along upon the ground; and YHUH rained hail upon the land of Mitzrayim.

24 So there was hail and fire mixed with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Mitzrayim since it became a nation.

25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Mitzrayim all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field and broke every aytz of the field.

26 Only in the land of Goshan, where the children of Yahsrahal were, was there no hail.

27 And Pharaoh sent and called for Moshe and Aharon and said to them, I have sinned this time:YHUH is Tzadik and my people and I are wicked.

28 Make tafillah to YHUH; for it is enough. Let there be no more mighty thundering and hail; and I will let you go and you shall stay no longer.

29 And Mosha said to Him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to YHUH; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be anymore hail; that you may know how that the earth is YHUH's.

30 But as for you and your avadim, I know that you will not yet fear YHUH Myhla.

31 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear and the flax was in bud.

32 But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten: for they ripen late.

33 And Mosha went out of the city from Pharaoh and spread abroad his hands to YHUH: and the thunders and hail ceased and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, he sinned yet more and hardened his lev, he and his avadim.

35 And the lav of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Yahsrahal go; as YHUH had spoken by Mosha.

10 And YHUH said to Mosha, Go in to Pharaoh: for I have hardened his lav and the lav of his avadim, that I might show these My signs before him:

2 And that you may tell it in the ears of your son and of your son's son, what things I have done in Mitzrayim and My signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I AM YHUH.

3 And Mosha and Aharon came in to Pharaoh and said to him, This says YHUH Myhla of the Avrim, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.

4 Or, else, if you refuse to let My people go, see, tomorrow will I bring the locusts into your coast:

5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remains to you from the hail and shall eat every aytz which grows for you out of the field:

6 And they shall fill your batiym and the batiym of all your avadim and the batiym of all the Mitzrim; which neither your ahvot, nor your ahvots' ahvot have seen, since the yom that they were upon the earth to this yom. And he turned and went out from Pharaoh.

7 And Pharaoh's avadim said to him, How long shall this man be a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve YHUH their Myhla: Do you not yet know that Mitzrayim is being destroyed?

8 And Mosha and Aharon were brought again to Pharaoh: and he said to them, Go, serve YHUH your Myhla: but who are they that shall go?

9 And Mosha said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a moad to YHUH.

10 And he said to them, Let YHUH be so with you, as I will let you go and your little ones: but be warned that evil is before you.

11 Not so: go now you that are men and serve YHUH; for that is what you did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

12 And YHUH said to Mosha, Stretch out your hand over the land of Mitzrayim for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Mitzrayim and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.

13 And Mosha stretched forth his rod over the land of Mitzrayim and YHUH brought an east wind upon the land all that yom and all that lyla; and when it was boker, the east wind brought the locusts.

14 And the locusts went up over all the land of Mitzrayim and rested in all the coasts of Mitzrayim: very grievous were they; before then there were no such locusts as those, neither after them shall be such.

15 For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land and all the fruit of the aytzim which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing on the aytzim, or in the herbs of the field, throughout all the land of Mitzrayim.

16 Then Pharaoh called for Mosha and Aharon in haste; and he said, I have sinned against YHUH your Myhla and against you.

17 Now, therefore, forgive my sin only this once and make tafillah to YHUH your Myhla, that He may take away from me this death.

18 And he went out from Pharaoh and made tafillah to YHUH.

19 And YHUH turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts and cast them into the Yam Suf; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Mitzrayim.

20 But YHUH hardened Pharaoh's lav, so that he would not let the children of Yahsrahal go.

21 And YHUH said to Mosha, Stretch out your hand toward the shamayim, that there may be darkness over the land of Mitzrayim, even darkness that may be felt.

22 And Mosha stretched forth his hand toward the shamayim; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Mitzrayim for three yamim:

23 They saw not one another, neither rose anyone from his place for three yamim: but all the children of Yahsrahal had ohr in their dwellings.

24 And Pharaoh called to Mosha and said, Go, serve YHUH; only let your flocks and your herds stay: let your little ones also go with you.

25 And Mosha said, You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to YHUH our Myhla .

26 Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not be a hoof left behind; for we must take them to serve YHUH our Myhla ; for we know not with what we must serve YHUH, until we come there.

27 But YHUH hardened Pharaoh's lav and he would not let them go.

28 And Pharaoh said to him, Get away from me, watch yourself and never see my face again! For in that yom that you see my face, you shall die.

29 And Mosha said, You have spoken well, I will see your face again no more!

11 And YHUH said to Mosha, Yet will I bring one more plague upon Pharaoh and upon Mitzrayim; afterwards he will let you go from here: when he shall let you go, he shall surely drive you out from here altogether.

2 Speak now in the ears of the people and let every man ask from his neighbor and every woman from her neighbor, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.

3 And YHUH gave the people chen in the sight of the Mitzrim. Moreover, the man MoshA was very great in the land of Mitzrayim, in the sight of Pharaoh's avadim and in the sight of the people.

4 And Mosha said, This says YHUH, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Mitzrayim:

5 And all the bachorim in the land of Mitzrayim shall die, from the bachor of Pharaoh that sits upon his kasay, even to the bachor of the female eved that is behind the mill; and all the bachor of the beasts.

6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Mitzrayim, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it anymore.

7 But against any of the children of Yahsrahal shall no dog move his tongue, against man, or beast: that you may know that YHUH does put a difference between the Mitzrim and Yahsrahal.

8 And all these your avadim shall come down to Me and bow down themselves to Me, saying, Get out and all the people that follow you. And after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.

9 And YHUH said to Mosha, Pharaoh shall not listen to you; that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Mitzrayim.

10 And Mosha and Aharon did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and YHUH hardened Pharaoh's lav, so that he would not let the children of Yahsrahal go out of his land.

12 And YHUH spoke to Mosha and Aharon in the land of Mitzrayim, saying,

2 This chodash shall be for you the beginning of chodashem, Rosh Chodashem: it shall be the first chodash of the year for you.

3 Speak to all the kahilla of Yahsrahal, saying, In the tenth yom of this chodash they shall take for themselves every man a lamb, according to the bayit of their ahvot, a lamb for a bayit:

4 And if the household is too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next to his bayit take it according to the number of their beings; every man according to his needs you shall make your count for the lamb.

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

6 And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth yom of the same chodash: and the whole assembly of the kahilla of Yahsrahal shall kill it in between the evenings.

7 And they shall take of the dahm and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper doorpost of their batiym, in which they shall eat it.

8 And they shall eat the flesh in that lyla, roasted with fire and matzah; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

9 Eat none of it raw, nor cooked, or boiled at all with mayim, but roasted with fire; its head with its legs, with the inside parts.

10 And you shall let nothing of it remain until the bokar; and that which remains until the bokar you shall burn with fire.

11 And this is how you shall eat it; with your loins dressed, your shoes on your feet and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in a great hurry: it is YHUH's Pasach.

12 For I will pass through the land of Mitzrayim this lyla and will smite all the bachor in the land of Mitzrayim, both man and beast; and against all the ahlahim of Mitzrayim I will execute mishpat: I AM YHUH.

13 And the dahm shall be to you for an ot upon the batiym where you are: and when I see the dahm, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Mitzrayim.

14 And this yom shall be to you for a memorial; and you shall shomar it as a moad to YHUH throughout your generations; you shall shomar it as a moad by a mishpat la-olam-va-ad.

15 Seven yamim shall you eat matzah; even the first yom you shall put away chamatz out of your batiym: for whoever eats lacham with chamatz from the first yom until the seventh yom, that being shall be cut off from Yahsrahal.

16 And in the first yom there shall be a miqra kodash, and on the seventh yom there shall be a miqra kodash to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, except that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you.

17 And you shall observe Chag Matzoth; for on this very yom have I brought your divisions out of the land of Mitzrayim: therefore shall you observe this yom in your generations by a mishpat la-olam-va-ad.

18 In the first chodash, on the fourteenth yom of the chodash between the evenings, you shall eat matzah, until the twenty-first yom of the chodash at evening.

19 Seven yamim shall there be no chamatz found in your batiym: for whoever eats that which is chamatz, even that being shall be cut off from the kahilla of Yahsrahal, whether he be a ger, or born in the land.

20 You shall eat nothing with chamatz; in all your dwellings shall you eat matzah.

21 Then Mosha called for all the zachanim of Yahsrahal and said to them, Choose and take a lamb according to your mishpachot and kill the Pasach.

22 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the dahm that is in the basin and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the dahm that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out the door of his bayit until the bokar.

23 For YHUH will pass through to smite the Mitzrim; and when He sees the dahm upon the lintel and on the two side posts,YHUH will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your batiym to smite you.

24 And you shall observe this word as a mishpat for you and for your sons la-olam-va-ad.

25 And it shall come to pass, when you have come to the land that YHUH will give you, according as He has promised, that you shall shomar this service.

26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say to you, What do you mean by this service?

27 That you shall say, It is the sacrifice of YHUH's Pasach, who passed over the batiym of the children of Yahsrahal in Mitzrayim, when He smote the Mitzrim and delivered our batiym. And the people bowed their heads and worshipped.

28 And the children of Yahsrahal went away and did as YHUH had commanded Mosha and Aharon, so they did.

29 And it came to pass, that at midnight YHUH smote all the bachor in the land of Mitzrayim, from the bachor of Pharaoh that sat on his kasay to the bachor of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the bachor of cattle.

30 And Pharaoh rose up in the lyla, he and all his avadim and all the Mitzrim; and there was a great cry in Mitzrayim, for there was not a bayit where there was not one dead.

31 And he called for Mosha and Aharon by lyla and said, Rise and get out from among my people, both you and the children of Yahsrahal; and go, serve YHUH, as you have said.

32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said and be gone; and bless me also.

33 And the Mitzrim greatly urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in a great hurry; for they said, We will all be dead men.

34 And the people took their dough before it was chamatz, their kneading bowls being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

35 And the children of Yahsrahal did according to the word of Mosha; and they asked of the Mitzrim jewels of silver and jewels of gold and garments:

36 And YHUH gave the people chen in the sight of the Mitzrim, so that they gave to them such things as they required. And they plundered the Mitzrim.

37 And the children of Yahsrahal journeyed from Raamses to Sukkot, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

38 And a mixed darkened multitude went up also with them; and flocks and herds, even very much cattle.

39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Mitzrayim, for it was not chamatz; because they were driven out of Mitzrayim and could not delay, neither had they prepared for themselves any food.

40 Now the sojourning of the children of Yahsrahal, who dwelt in Kanaan and Mitzrayim, was four hundred thirty years.

41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even on the very same yom of their entry, it came to pass, that all the divisions of YHUH went out from the land of Mitzrayim.

42 It is a lyla to be much observed to YHUH for bringing them out from the land of Mitzrayim: this is a lyla to YHUH to be observed by all the children of Yahsrahal in all their generations.

43 And YHUH said to Mosha and Aharon, This is the chuk of the Pasach: There shall no gar eat of it:

44 But every man's avad that is bought for money, when you have performed brit-milah upon him, then shall he eat of it.

45 A foreigner and a hired eved shall not eat of it.

46 In one bayit shall it be eaten; you shall not carry forth any of the flesh outside of the bayit, neither shall you break a bone of it.

47 All the kahilla of Yahsrahal shall shomar it.

48 And when a gar shall sojourn with you and desires to shomar the Pasach to YHUH; all his males must perform brit-milah and then let him come near and shomar it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no person that is not brit milah shall eat of it.

49 One Torah shall be for him that is native and for the gar that sojourns among you.

50 This did all the children of Yahsrahal; as YHUH commanded Mosha and Aharon, so did they.

51 And it came to pass the very same yom that YHUH did bring the children of Yahsrahal out of the land of Mitzrayim by their divisions.

13 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

2 Set Apart to Me all the bachor, whatever opens the womb among the children of Yahsrahal, both of man and of beast: it is Mine.

3 And Mosha said to the people, Remember this yom, in which you came out from Mitzrayim, out of the bayit of bondage; for by the strength of His Hand YHUH brought you out from this place: there shall no lacham with chamatz be eaten.

4 This yom came you out in the chodash of Aviv.

5 And it shall be when YHUH shall bring you into the land of the Kanaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Hivites and the Yavusites, which He swore to your ahvot to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall shomar this service in this chodash.

6 Seven yamim you shall eat matzah and in the seventh yom shall be a moad to YHUH.

7 Matzah shall be eaten seven yamim; and there shall no lacham with chamatz be seen with you, neither shall there be chamatz seen with you in all your borders.

8 And you shall inform your son in that yom, saying, This is done because of what YHUH did for me when I came forth out of Mitzrayim.

9 And it shall be for an ot to you upon your hand and for a memorial between your eyes, that the Torah of YHUH may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has YHUH brought you out of Mitzrayim.

10 You shall therefore shomer this chuk in its appointed time from year to year.

11 And it shall be when YHUH shall bring you into the land of the Kanaanites, as He swore to you and to your ahvot and shall give it to you,

12 That you shall set apart to YHUH all that pehters the womb and every pehter that comes from a beast which you have; all the males belong to YHUH.

13 And every bachor of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck: and all the bachor males among your children shall you redeem.

14 And it shall be when your son asks you in times to come, saying, What is this? That you shall say to him, By the strength of His Hand YHUH brought us out from Mitzrayim, from the bayit of bondage:

15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that YHUH killed all the bachor in the land of Mitzrayim, both the bachor of man and the bachor of beast: therefore I sacrifice to YHUH all that pehters the womb, being males; but all the bachor of my children I redeem.

16 And it shall be for an ot upon your hand and for a memory between your eyes: for by the strength of His Hand YHUH brought us forth out of Mitzrayim.

17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that Myhla led them not through the darach of the land of the Plishtim, although that was near; for Myhla said, Lest the people regret when they see war and they return to Mitzrayim:

18 But Myhla led the people around, through the derech of the wilderness of the Yam Suf: and the children of Yahsrahal went up armed out of the land of Mitzrayim.

19 And Mosha took the bones of Yosaph with him: for he had certainly made the children of Yahsrahal swear, saying, Myhla will surely visit you; and you shall carry up my bones away from here with you.

20 And they took their journey from Sukkot and encamped in Atham, in the edge of the wilderness.

21 And YHUH went before them by yom in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them in the derech; and by lyla in a pillar of fire, to give them ohr; to go with them by yom and lyla:

22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by yom, nor the pillar of fire by lyla, from before the people.

14 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

2 Speak to the children of Yahsrahal that they turn and encamp before Pi-Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, opposite Ba’al-Tzaphon: before it shall you encamp by the sea.

3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Yahsrahal, They are entangled in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.

4 And I will harden Pharaoh's lav, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honored through Pharaoh and over all his army; that the Mitzrim may know that I AM YHUH. And they did so.

5 And it was told the malach of Mitzrayim that the people fled: and the lev of Pharaoh and of his avadim was turned against the people and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Yahsrahal go from serving us?

6 And he made ready his mirkavah and took his people with him:

7 And he took six hundred chosen mirkavot and all the mirkavot of Mitzrayim and captains over every one of them.

8 And YHUH hardened the lav of Pharaoh malach of Mitzrayim and he pursued after the children of Yahsrahal: and the children of Yahsrahal went out with a high hand.

9 But the Mitzrim pursued after them, all the horses and mirkavot of Pharaoh and his horsemen and his army and overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pi-Hahiroth, before Ba’al-Tzaphon.

10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Yahsrahal lifted up their eyes and, see, the Mitzrim marched after them; and they were much afraid: and the children of Yahsrahal cried out to YHUH.

11 And they said to Mosha, Because there were no graves in Mitzrayim, have you now taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt with us in this manner, to carry us forth out of Mitzrayim?

12 Is not this the word that we did tell you in Mitzrayim, saying, Leave us alone, that we may serve the Mitzrim? For it had been better for us to serve the Mitzrim, than that we should die in the wilderness.

13 And Mosha said to the people, Fear not, stand still and see the YAHUSHA of YHUH, which He will show to you today: for the Mitzrim whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more la-olam-va-ad.

14 YHUH shall fight for you and you shall stay still.

15 And YHUH said to Mosha, Why do you cry to Me? Speak to the children of Yahsrahal that they may go forward:

16 But lift up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it: and the children of Yahsrahal shall go on dry ground through the middle of the sea.

17 And I, see, I will harden the levavot of the Mitzrim and they shall follow them: and I will get for Myself kavod through Pharaoh and upon all his armies, upon his mirkavot and upon his horsemen.

18 And the Mitzrim shall know that I AM YHUH, when I have gotten kavod for Myself through Pharaoh, his mirkavot and his horsemen.

19 And The Malach-Myhla, who went before the camp of Yahsrahal, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face and stood behind them:

20 And it came between the camp of the Mitzrim and the camp of Yahsrahal; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave ohr by lyla to these: so that the one came not near the other all the lyla.

21 And Mosha stretched out his hand over the sea; and YHUH caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that lyla and made the sea dry land and the mayim were divided.

22 And the children of Yahsrahal went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the mayim were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

23 And the Mitzrim pursued and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his mirkavot and his horsemen.

24 And it came to pass, that in the bokar watch YHUH looked to the armies of the Mitzrim through the pillar of fire and of the cloud and troubled the army of the Mitzrim,

25 And took off their mirkavah wheels, that they drove them with difficulty: so that the Mitzrim said, Let us flee from the face of Yahsrahal; for YHUH fights for them against the Mitzrim.

26 And YHUH said to Mosha, Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the mayim may come again upon the Mitzrim, upon their mirkavot and upon their horsemen.

27 And Mosha stretched forth his hand over the sea and the sea returned to its usual flow when the boker appeared; and the Mitzrim fled right into it; and YHUH overthrew the Mitzrim in the midst of the sea.

28 And the mayim returned and covered the mirkavot and the horsemen and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not even one of them alive.

29 But the children of Yahsrahal walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the mayim were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

30 So YHUH saved Yahsrahal that yom out of the hand of the Mitzrim; and Yahsrahal saw the Mitzrim dead upon the seashore.

31 And Yahsrahal saw that great work which YHUH did upon the Mitzrim: and the people feared YHUH and believed YHUH and His eved Mosha.

15 Then sang Mosha and the children of Yahsrahal this shir to YHUH and spoke, saying, I will sing to YHUH, for He has triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider has He thrown into the sea.

2 YAH is my strength and shir and He has become my YAHUSHA-YHUH: He is my Al and I will hallal Him; my abba's Myhla and I will exalt Him.

3 YHUH is a Man of War: YHUH is His Name.

4 Pharaoh's mirkavot and his army has He cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Yam Suf.

5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

6 Your Right Hand,O YHUH, has become tifarath in Power: Your Right Hand, O YHUH, has dashed in pieces the enemy.

7 And in the greatness of Your Excellency You have overthrown them that rose up against You: You sent forth Your anger, which consumed them as stubble.

8 And with the blast of Your nostrils the mayim were gathered together, the floods stood upright as a heap and the depths became stiff in the lav of the sea.

9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the plunder; my desire shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

10 You did blow with Your wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty mayim.

11 Me-chamocha, O YHUH, among the mighty ones? Who is like You, beautiful in set apartness, awesome in tahillot, doing wonders?

12 You stretched out Your Right Hand, the earth swallowed them.

13 You in Your rachamim have led forth the people whom You have redeemed: You have guided them in Your strength to Your kadosh dwelling.

14 The people shall hear and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Philistia.

15 Then the rulers of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moav, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Kanaan shall melt away.

16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of Your Arm they shall be as still as a stone; until Your people pass over, O YHUH, until the people pass over, whom You have purchased.

17 You shall bring them in and plant them in the har of Your inheritance, in the place, O YHUH, which You have made for Yourself to dwell in, in the Kadosh-Place, O YHUH, that Your hands have established.

18 YHUH shall reign la-olam-va-ad.

19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his mirkavot and with his horsemen into the sea and YHUH brought again the mayim of the sea upon them; but the children of Yahsrahal went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

20 And Miryam the neviyah, the sister of Aharon, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

21 And Miryam answered them, Sing to YHUH, for He has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider has He thrown into the sea.

22 So Mosha brought Yahsrahal from the Yam Suf and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three yamim in the wilderness and found no mayim.

23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the mayim of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

24 And the people murmured against Mosha, saying, What shall we drink?

25 And he cried to YHUH; and YHUH showed him an aytz, which when he had cast into the mayim, the mayim were made sweet: there He made for them a chuk and a mishpat and there He tested them,

26 And said, If you will diligently listen to the voice of YHUH your Myhla and will do that which is right in His sight and will give ear to His mitzvoth and shomer all His chukim, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Mitzrim: for I AM YHUH -Rophachah.

27 And they came to Aylim, where were twelve wells of mayim and seventy palm aytzim: and they encamped there by the mayim.

16 And they took their journey from Aylim and all the kahilla of the children of Yahsrahal came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Aylim and Senai, on the fifteenth yom of the second chodash after their departing out of the land of Mitzrayim.

2 Then the whole kahilla of the children of Yahsrahal murmured against Mosha and Aharon in the wilderness:

3 And the children of Yahsrahal said to them, Would to Myhla we had died by the Hand of YHUH in the land of Mitzrayim, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we did eat lacham until we were full; for you have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole kahilla with hunger.

4 Then said YHUH to Mosha, See, I will rain lacham from the shamayim for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain amount every yom, that I may test them, whether they will have their halacha in My Torah, or not.

5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth yom they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

6 And Mosha and Aharon said to all the children of Yahsrahal, At evening, then you shall know that YHUH has brought you out from the land of Mitzrayim:

7 And in the bokar, then you shall see the tifarath of YHUH; for He hears your murmurings against YHUH and who are we that you murmur against us?

8 And Mosha said, This shall be, when YHUH shall give you in the evening meat to eat and in the bokar lacham to your satisfaction; for YHUH hears your murmurings that you murmur against Him: and who are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against YHUH.

9 And Mosha spoke to Aharon, Say to all the kahilla of the children of Yahsrahal, Come near before YHUH: for He has heard your murmurings.

10 And it came to pass, as Aharon spoke to the whole kahilla of the children of Yahsrahal, that they looked toward the wilderness and, see, the tifarath of YHUH appeared in the cloud.

11 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

12 I have heard the murmurings of the children of Yahsrahal: speak to them, saying, At evening you shall eat meat and in the bokar you shall be filled with lacham; and you shall know that I AM YHUH your Myhla.

13 And it came to pass, that at evening the quails came up and covered the camp: and in the bokar the dew lay all around the camp.

14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, see, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the frost on the ground.

15 And when the children of Yahsrahal saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they did not know what it was. And Mosha said to them, This is the lacham that YHUH has given you to eat.

16 This is the thing which YHUH has commanded, Gather of it every man according to eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take some for every man who is in his tent.

17 And the children of Yahsrahal did so and gathered, some more, some less.

18 And when they did measure it with an omar, he that gathered much had nothing over and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his need.

19 And Mosha said, Let no man leave any of it until the bokar.

20 Nevertheless they listened not to Mosha; but some of them left it until the bokar and it bred worms and smelled: and Moshe was angry with them.

21 And they gathered it every boker, every man according to his need: and when the shamash became hot, it melted.

22 And it came to pass, that on the sixth yom they gathered twice as much lacham, two omars for one man: and all the rulers of the kahilla came and told Mosha.

23 And he said to them, This is that which YHUH has said, Tomorrow is the rest of the kadosh Shabbat to YHUH; bake that which you will bake today and cook what you will cook; and that which remains leftover, store up for yourselves until the bokar.

24 And they stored up until the bokar, as Mosha commanded: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm inside.

25 And Mosha said, Eat that today; for today is a Shabbat to YHUH: today you shall not find it in the field.

26 Six yamim you shall gather it; but on the seventh yom, which is The Shabbat, in it there shall be none.

27 And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh yom to gather and they found none.

28 And YHUH said to Mosha, How long do you refuse to shomer My mitzvoth and My Torot?

29 See, that YHUH has given you The Shabbat, therefore He gives you on the sixth yom the lacham for two yamim; abide every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh yom.

30 So the people rested on the seventh yom.

31 And bait Yahsrahal called the name of it Manna: and it was like coriander zara, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

32 And Mosha said, This is the thing which YHUH commands, Fill an omar of it to be kept for your future generations; that they may see the lacham with which I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Mitzrayim.

33 And Mosha said to Aharon, Take a pot and put an omar full of manna inside and store it up before YHUH, to be kept for your future generations.

34 As YHUH commanded Mosha, so Aharon stored it before the Testimony, to be kept.

35 And the children of Yahsrahal did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came to the borders of the land of Kanaan.

36 Now an omar is the tenth part of an aphah.

17 And all the kahilla of the children of Yahsrahal journeyed from the wilderness of Tzin, after their journeys, according to the command of YHUH and pitched camp in Raphidim: and there was no mayim for the people to drink.

2 Therefore the people did strive with Mosha and said, Give us mayim that we may drink. And Mosha said to them, Why do you strive with me? Why do you test YHUH?

3 And the people thirsted there for mayim; and the people murmured against Mosha and said, Why is this that you have brought us up out of Mitzrayim, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

4 And Mosha cried to YHUH, saying, What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me.

5 And YHUH said to Mosha, Go on before the people and take with you of the zachanim of Yahsrahal; and your rod, with which you smote the river, take it in your hand and go.

6 See, I will stand before you there upon The Rock in Horav; and you shall smite The Rock and there shall come mayim out of it, so that the people may drink. And Mosha did so in the sight of the zachanim of Yahsrahal.

7 And he called the name of the place Massah and Marivah because of the striving of the children of Yahsrahal and because they tested YHUH, saying, Is YHUH among us, or not?

8 Then came Amalak and fought with Yahsrahal in Raphidim.

9 And Mosha said to Husha, Choose us some men and go out, fight with Amalak: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of Myhla in my hand.

10 So Husha did as Mosha had said to him and fought with Amalak: and Mosha, Aharon and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

11 And it came to pass, when Moshe held up his hand, that Yahsrahal prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

12 But Mosha's hands were heavy; and they took a stone and put it under him and he sat down; and Aharon and Hur held up his hands, the one on the one side and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the shamash.

13 And Husha defeated Amalak and their people with the edge of the sword.

14 And YHUH said to Mosha, Write this for a memorial in a scroll and rehearse it in the ears of Husha: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalak from under the shamayim.

15 And Mosha built an altar and called the Name of it YHUH Nissi:

16 For he said, Because his hand is on the kasay of YAH; YHUH will have a war with Amalak from generation to generation.

18 When Yithro, the kohan of Midyan, Mosha's abba-in-law, heard of all that Myhla had done for Mosha and for Yahsrahal His people and that YHUH had brought Yahsrahal out of Mitzrayim;

2 Then Yithro, Mosha's abba-in-law, took Tzipporah, Mosha's isha, after he had sent her back,

3 And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Garshom; for he said, I have been a ger in a strange land:

4 And the name of the other was Aliazar; for the Myhla of my abba, said he, was my help and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:

5 And Yithro, Mosha's abba-in-law, came with his sons and his isha to Mosha into the wilderness, where he camped at the Har of Myhla :

6 And he said to Mosha, I your abba-in-law Yithro have come to you, with your isha and her two sons with her.

7 And Mosha went out to meet his abba-in-law and bowed down, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.

8 And Moshe told his abba-in-law all that YHUH had done to Pharaoh and to the Mitzrim for Yahsrahal's sake and all the travail that had come upon them by the darach and how YHUH delivered them.

9 And Yithro rejoiced for all the tov that YHUH had done to Yahsrahal, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Mitzrim.

10 And Yithro said, Blessed be YHUH, who has delivered you out of the hand of the Mitzrim and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who has delivered the people from under the hand of the Mitzrim.

11 Now I know hat YHUH is greater than all ahlahim: for in the thing in which they dealt proudly He was above them.

12 And Yithro, Mosha's abba-in-law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for Myhla: and Aharon came and all the zachanim of Yahsrahal, to eat lacham with Mosha's abba-in-law before Myhla.

13 And it came to pass the next yom, that Mosha sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Mosha from the bokar to the evening.

14 And when Mosha's abba-in-law saw all that he did for the people, he said, What is this thing that you do for all the people? Why do you sit alone and all the people stand before you from bokar to evening?

15 And Mosha said to his abba-in-law, Because the people come to me to inquire of Myhla:

16 When they have a matter, they come to me; and I judge between one and another and I do make them know the chukim of Myhla and His Torot.

17 And Mosha's abba-in-law said to him, The thing that you do is not tov.

18 You will surely wear away, both you and this people that is with you: for this thing is too heavy for you; you are not able to perform it yourself all alone.

19 Shama now to my voice, I will give you counsel and Myhla shall be with you: Stand before Myhla for the people, that you may bring the matters to Myhla:

20 And you shall teach them the ordinances and Torot and shall show them the darach in which they must have their halacha, and the work that they must do.

21 Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear Myhla, men of amat, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties and rulers of tens:

22 And let them judge the people at all moadem: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for yourself and they shall bear the burden with you.

23 If you shall do this thing and Myhla command you so, then you shall be able to endure and the entire people shall also go to their place in shalom.

24 So Mosha listened to the voice of his abba-in-law and did all that he had said.

25 And Mosha chose able men out of kol Yahsrahal and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties and rulers of tens.

26 And they judged the people at all moadem: the hard matters they brought to Mosha, but every small matter they judged themselves.

27 And Mosha let his abba-in-law depart; and he went his darach into his own land.

19 In the third chodash, when the children of Yahsrahal had gone forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, the same yom they came into the wilderness of Senai.

2 For they were departed from Raphidim and were come to the desert of Senai and had camped in the wilderness; and there Yahsrahal camped before the har.

3 And Mosha went up to Myhla and YHUH called to him out of the har, saying, This shall you say to Bait Yaakov and tell the children of Yahsrahal;

4 You have seen what I did to the Mitzrim and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself.

5 Now therefore, if you will obey My voice indeed and shomer My brit, then you shall be a peculiar treasure to Me above all peoples: for all the earth is Mine:

6 And you shall be to Me a malchut of kohanim, and a kadosh nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the children of Yahsrahal.

7 And Mosha came and called for the zachanim of the people and set before them all these words that YHUH commanded him.

8 And all the people answered together and said, All that YHUH has spoken we will do. And Mosha returned the words of the people to YHUH.

9 And YHUH said to Mosha, See, I come to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you and believe you la-olam-va-ad. And Moshea told the words of the people to YHUH.

10 And YHUH said to Mosha, Go to the people and set them apart today and tomorrow and let them wash their clothes,

11 And be ready by the third yom: for on the third yom YHUH will come down in the sight of all the people upon Har Senai.

12 And you shall set borders for the people all around, saying, Be careful, that you go not up into the har, or touch the border of it: whoever touches the har shall be surely put to death:

13 There shall not a hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast, or man, it shall not live: when the shofar sounds long, they shall come near the har.

14 And Mosha went down from the har to the people and set apart the people; and they washed their clothes.

15 And he said to the people, Be ready for the third yom: approach not your wives in intimacy.

16 And it came to pass on the third yom in the bokar, that there was thunder and lightning and a thick cloud upon the har and the voice of the shofar exceedingly loud; so that all the people that were in the camp trembled.

17 And Mosha brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with Myhla; and they stood at the foot of the har.

18 And Har Senai was altogether in smoke because YHUH descended upon it in fire: and the smoke of it ascended as the smoke of a furnace and the whole har shook greatly.

19 And when the voice of the shofar sounded long and became louder and louder, Mosha spoke and Myhla answered him by a voice.

20 And YHUH came down upon Har Senai, on the top of the har: and YHUH called Mosha up to the top of the har; and Mosha went up.

21 And YHUH said to Mosha, Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to YHUH to see and many of them perish.

22 And let the kohanim also, who come near to YHUH, set themselves apart, lest YHUH break forth upon them.

23 And Mosha said to YHUH, The people cannot come up to Har Senai: for you warned us, saying, Set borders around the har and set it apart.

24 And YHUH said to him, Away, get down and you shall come up, you and Aharon with you: but let not the kohanim and the people break through to come up to YHUH, lest He break forth upon them.

25 So Mosha went down to the people and spoke to them.

20 And The Word of Myhla spoke all these Words, saying,

2 [Aleph] I AM YHUH your Myhla, who has brought you out of the land of Mitzrayim, out of the bayit of bondage.

3 [Bet] You shall have no other ahlahim before My face.

4 You shall not make to you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in the shamayim above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the mayim under the earth:

5 You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I YHUH your Myhla am a zealous Myhla, visiting the iniquity of the ahvot upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those that hate Me;

6 And showing rachamim to thousands of them that love Me and shomar My mitzvoth.

7 [Gimel] You shall not bring the Name of YHUH your Myhla to vain emptiness; for YHUH will not hold him guiltless nor clean the one that brings His Name to vain emptiness.

8 [Daled] Remember the Yom Ha-Shabbats, to shomar them as kadosh.

9 Six yamim shall you labor and do all your work:

10 But the seventh yom is The Shabbat of YHUH your Myhla: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male avad, nor your female avad, nor your cattle, nor your gar, nor a convert that is within your gates:

11 For in six yamim YHUH made the shamayim and earth, the sea and all that is in them and rested on the seventh yom: therefore YHUH blessed The Shabbat yom and set it apart.

12 [Hey] Honor your abba and your eema: that your yamim may be long upon the land that YHUH your Myhla gives you.

13 [Waw] You shall not murder.

14 [Zayin] You shall not commit adultery.

15 [Chet] You shall not steal.

16 [Tet] You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

17 [Yud] You shall not covet your neighbor's bayit; you shall not covet your neighbor's isha, or his male avad, or his female avad, or his ox, or his donkey, or any thing that is your neighbor's.

18 And all the people saw the thundering and the lightning and the noise of the shofar and the har smoking: and when the people saw it, they moved back and stood at a distance.

19 And they said to Mosha, You speak with us and we will listen: but let not Myhla speak with us, lest we die.

20 And Mosha said to the people, Fear not: for Myhla is come to test you and that His fear may be before your faces, that you sin not.

21 And the people stood far off and Mosha drew near to the thick darkness where Myhla was.

22 And YHUH said to Mosha, This you shall say to the children of Yahsrahal, You have seen that I have talked with you from the shamayim.

23 You shall not make besides Me my ahlahim, ahlahim of silver; neither shall you make for yourselves ahlahim of gold.

24 An altar of earth you shall make for Me and shall sacrifice there your burnt offerings and your shalom offerings, your sheep and your oxen: in the place, where I recorded My Name; there I will come to you and I will bless you.

25 And if you will make Me an altar of stones, you shall not build it of cut stones: for if you lift up your tool upon it, you have polluted My altar.

26 Neither shall you go up by steps to My altar, that your nakedness be not discovered on it.

21 Now these are the mishpatim that you shall set before them.

2 If you buy an Avri avad, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.

3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he was married, then his isha shall go out with him.

4 If his master has given him an isha and she has born him sons, or daughters; the isha and her children shall be her master's and he shall go out by himself.

5 And if the avad shall plainly say, I love my master, my isha and my children; I will not go out free:

6 Then his master shall bring him to the shophtim; he shall also bring him to the door, or to the door post; and his master shall pierce his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him la-olam-va-ad.

7 And if a man sells his daughter to be a female avad, she shall not go out as the men avadim do.

8 If she is wicked in the eyes of her Adon, who has appointed-assembled her to himself, let her be traded or given to a foreign nation, she shall not be sold within Yahsrahal [by implication] because he is offended by her.

9 And if he has betrothed her to his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.

10 If he will take himself another isha, her food, her garment and her marital rights, shall he not diminish.

11 And if he does not these three to her, then shall she go out free without money.

12 He that smites a man, so that he dies, shall be surely put to death.

13 And if a man lies not in wait, but Myhla delivers him into his hand; then I will appoint you a place where he shall flee.

14 But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbor, to kill him with guile; you shall take him away from My altar that he may die.

15 And he that hits his abba, or his eema, shall be surely put to death.

16 And he that kidnaps a man and sells him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.

17 And he that curses his abba, or his eema, shall surely be put to death.

18 And if men strive together and one smites another with a stone, or with his fist and he does not die, but is confined to his bed:

19 If he rises again and walks outside with his staff, then shall he that smote him be innocent: only he shall pay for the loss of his time and shall see to it that he is thoroughly healed.

20 And if a man smites his male avad, or his female avad, with a rod and they die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.

21 But if he remains alive a yom, or two, he shall not be punished; for he is his property.

22 If men fight and hurt a woman with child, so that her child departs from her and yet no harm follows, he shall be surely punished, according to what the woman's husband will determine; and he shall pay as the shophtim determine.

23 And if there is any injury, then you shall give chayim for chayim,

24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

26 And if a man smites the eye of his male avad, or the eye of his female avad, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.

27 And if he smites out his male avad's tooth, or his female avad's tooth, he shall let them go free for the tooth's sake.

28 If an ox gores a man, or a woman that they die, then the ox shall be surely stoned and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be innocent.

29 But if the ox was in the habit of goring in times past and it had been told to the owner and he had not kept it in, but that it had killed a man, or a woman; the ox shall be stoned and its owner also shall be put to death.

30 If there be laid on him a sin covering penalty, then he shall give for the ransom of his chayim whatever is laid upon him.

31 Whether it has gored a son, or has gored a daughter, according to this mishpat shall it be done to him.

32 If the ox shall gore a male avad, or a female avad, he shall give to their master thirty shakals of silver and the ox shall be stoned.

33 And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit and not cover it and an ox, or a donkey fall inside;

34 The owner of the pit shall repay and give money to the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.

35 And if one man's ox hurts another's, so that he dies, then they shall sell the live ox and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide.

36 Or, if it is known that the ox has gored in times past and his owner has not kept him in; he shall surely repay ox for ox and the dead ox shall be his own.

22 If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.

2 If a thief be found breaking in and be smitten so that he dies, there is no guilt for his shed dahm.

3 If the shamash is risen upon him, there is guilt for his bloodshed; he should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

4 If the theft is certainly found in his hand alive, whether it is an ox, or donkey, or sheep; he shall restore double.

5 If a man shall cause a field, or vineyard to be eaten and shall put in his beast and shall feed in another man's field; he repays from the best of his own field and from the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.

6 If a fire breaks out and spreads to thorn bushes, so that the stacked grain, or the standing grain, or the field, is consumed; he that lit the fire shall surely make restitution.

7 If a man shall deliver to his neighbor money, or goods to guard and it be stolen out of the man's bayit; if the thief is found, let him repay double.

8 If the thief is not found, then the master of the bayit shall be brought to the shophtim, to see whether he has put his hand into his neighbor's goods.

9 For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for garment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challenges to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the shophtim; and whoever the shophtim shall declare wrong, he shall repay double to his neighbor.

10 If a man deliver to his neighbor a donkey, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to guard; and it dies, or is hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it:

11 Then shall an oath of YHUH be between them both, that he has not put his hand to his neighbor's goods; and the owner of it shall accept it and he shall not repay.

12 And if it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution to the owner of it.

13 If it is torn in pieces, then let him bring it for a witness and he shall not repay that which was torn.

14 And if a man borrows anything from his neighbor and it is hurt, or dies, the owner of it not being with it, he shall surely repay.

15 But if the owner of it is with it, he shall not repay: if it is a hired thing, it came for his hire.

16 And if a man entices a virgin that is not engaged and lies with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his isha.

17 If her abba utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

18 You shall not allow a witch to live.

19 Whoever lies with a beast shall surely be put to death.

20 He that sacrifices to any ahlahim, except to YHUH only, he shall be utterly destroyed.

21 You shall neither vex a gar, nor oppress him; for you were garim in the land of Mitzrayim.

22 You shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.

23 If you afflict them in any darach and they cry out to Me, I will surely hear their cry;

24 And My anger shall wax hot and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows and your children fatherless.

25 If you lend money to any of My people that is poor among you, you shall not be to him as one who lends on interest to him, neither shall you lay upon him interest.

26 If you take your neighbor's garment as a pledge, you shall deliver it to him before the shamash goes down:

27 For that is his covering only, it is his garment for his skin: with what shall he sleep? And it shall come to pass, when he calls out to Me, that I will listen; for I YHUH AM gracious.

28 You shall not revile Myhla , nor curse a ruler of your people.

29 You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe fruits and of your liquors: the bachor of your sons shall you give to Me.

30 Likewise shall you do with your oxen and with your sheep: seven yamim it shall be with his eema; on the eighth yom you shall give it to Me.

31 And you shall be kadosh men to Me: neither shall you eat any flesh that is torn by the beasts in the field; you shall cast it to the dogs.

23 You shall not raise a false report: put not your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

2 You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; neither shall you speak in a cause to turn aside after many to turn aside what is right:

3 Neither shall you favor a poor man in his cause.

4 If you meet your enemy's ox, or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.

5 If you see the donkey of him that hates you lying under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving it to him, you shall surely help with it.

6 You shall not turn aside the right-ruling of your poor in his cause.

7 Keep far from a false matter; and the innocent and tzadik kill not: for I will not justify the wicked.

8 And you shall take no bribe: for the bribe blinds the wise and twists the words of the tzadik.

10 And six years you shall sow your land and shall gather in the fruits of it:

12 Six yamim you shall do your work and on the seventh yom you shall rest: that your ox and your donkey may rest and the son of your handmaid and the ger, may be refreshed.

13 And in all things that I have said to you take heed: and make no mention of the names of other ahlahim, neither let it be heard out of your mouth.

14 Three regalim you shall shomar as chagim to Me in the year.

15 You shall shomar Chag Matzah: you shall eat matzah seven yamim, as I commanded you, in the time appointed in the chodash Aviv; for in it you came out from Mitzrayim; and none shall appear before Me empty-handed.

16 And Chag Shavuot the harvest the bikkurim of your labors, which you have sown in the field; and the Chag of Ingathering – Sukkot – that is toward the end of the year, when you have gathered in your labors out of the field.

17 Three times in the year all your males shall appear before YHUH Myhla.

18 You shall not offer the dahm of My sacrifice with chamatz-lacham; neither shall the fat of My sacrifice remain until the boker.

19 The first of the bikkurim of your land you shall bring into the Bayit of YHUH your Myhla. You shall not cook a kid in its eema's milk.

20 See, I send A Malach before you, to guide you in the darach and to bring you into the place that I have prepared.

21 Beware of Him and obey His voice, provoke Him not; for otherwise He will not pardon your transgressions; for My Name is in Him.

22 But if you shall indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

23 For My Malach shall go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites and the Hittites and the Parizzites and the Kanaanites and the Hivites and the Yavusites: and I will cut them off.

24 You shall not bow down to their ahlahim, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but you shall utterly overthrow them and without fail break down their images.

25 And you shall serve YHUH your Myhla and He shall bless your lacham and your mayim; and I will take sickness away from the midst of you.

26 There shall nothing miscarry, nor be barren, in your land: the number of your yamim I will fill.

27 I will send My fear before you and will destroy all the people to whom you shall come and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.

28 And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Kanaanite and the Hittite, from before you.

29 I will not drive them out from before you in one year; lest the land become desolate and the beast of the field multiply against you.

30 Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you be increased and inherit the land.

31 And I will set your borders from the Yam Suf even to the Sea of the Plishtim and from the desert to the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and you shall drive them out from before you.

32 You shall make no brit with them, or with their ahlahim.

33 They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against Me: for if you serve their ahlahim, it will surely be a snare to you.

24 And The Word of YHUH said to MoshA, Come up to YHUH, you and Aharon, Nadav and Avihu, Al-Azar and Ithamar and seventy of the zachanim of Yahsrahal; and worship far off.

2 And Mosha alone shall come near YHUH: but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.

3 And Mosha came and told the people all the Words of YHUH and all the mishpatim: and all the people answered with kol achad and said,

All the Words that YHUH has said we will do.

4 And Mosha wrote all the Words of YHUH and rose up early in the bokar and built an altar under the hill and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Yahsrahal.

5 And he sent young men of the children of Yahsrahal, which offered burnt offerings and sacrificed shalom offerings of bulls to YHUH.

6 And Mosha took half of the dahm and put it in basins; and half of the dahm he sprinkled on the altar.

7 And he took the scroll of the brit and read it in the audience of the people: and they said, All that YHUH has said will we do and be obedient.

8 And Mosha took the dahm and sprinkled it on the people and said, See the dahm of the brit, that YHUH has made with you concerning all these Words.

9 Then went up Moshe and Aharon, Nadav and Avihu and seventy of the zachanim of Yahsrahal:

10 And they saw the Myhla of Yahsrahal: and there was under His feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone and as it were the gooff of the shamayim in His clearness.

11 And upon the nobles of the children of Yahsrahal He laid not His hand: also they saw Myhla and did eat and drink.

12 And YHUH said to Mosha, Come up to Me into the har and be there: and I will give you tablets of stone and a Torah and mitzvoth that I have written; that you may teach them.

13 And Mosha rose up and his assistant Husha: and Mosha went up into the Har of Myhla.

14 And he said to the zachanim, Wait here for us, until we come again to you: and, see, Aharon and Hur are with you: if any man has any matters to do, let him come to them.

15 And Mosha went up into the har and a cloud covered the har.

16 And the tifarath of YHUH abode upon Har Senai and the cloud covered it six yamim: and on the seventh yom He called to Mosha out of the midst of the cloud.

17 And the sight of the tifarath of YHUH was like a consuming fire on the top of the har in the eyes of the children of Yahsrahal.

18 And Mosha went into the midst of the cloud and went up to the har: and Mosha was in the har forty yamim and forty laylot.

25 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

2 Speak to the children of Yahsrahal, that they bring Me an offering: of every man that gives it willingly with his lav you shall take My offering.

3 And this is the offering that you shall take from them; gold and silver and brass,

4 And blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats' hair,

5 And rams' skins dyed red and blue/violet skins and acacia wood,

6 Oil for the ohr, spices for anointing oil and for sweet incense,

7 Onyx stones and stones to be set in the shoulder garment and in the breastplate.

8 And let them make Me a Kadosh-Place; that I may dwell among them.

9 According to all that I show you, after the pattern of the Mishkan and the pattern of all the instruments of it, even so shall you make it.

10 And they shall make an ark of acacia wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length of it and a cubit and a half the width of it and a cubit and a half the height of it.

11 And you shall cover it with pure gold, within and without shall you cover it and shall make upon it a katar of gold all around.

12 And you shall cast four rings of gold for it and put them in the four corners of it; and two rings shall be on the one side of it and two rings on the other side of it.

13 And you shall make poles of acacia wood and cover them with gold.

14 And you shall put the poles into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be carried with them.

15 The poles shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.

16 And you shall put into the ark the testimony that I shall give you.

17 And you shall make a lid of kaporah of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length of it and a cubit and a half the width of it.

18 And you shall make two charuvim of gold; of beaten work shall you make them, on the two ends of the lid of kaporah.

19 And make one charuv on the one end and the other cheruv on the other end: even on the lid of kaporah shall you make the charuvim on the two ends of it.

20 And the charuvim shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the lid of kaporah with their wings and their faces shall look one to another; toward the lid of kaporah shall the faces of the charuvim be.

21 And you shall put the lid of kaporah above upon the ark; and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.

22 And there I will meet with you and I will commune with you from above the lid of kaporah, from between the two cheruvim that are upon the Ark of the Testimony, of all things which I will give you in mitzvoth for the children of Yahsrahal.

23 You shall also make a shulchan of acacia wood: two cubits shall be the length of it and a cubit the width of it and a cubit and a half the height of it.

24 And you shall cover it with pure gold and make a keter molding of gold all around.

25 And you shall make to it a border of a hand width all around it and you shall make a golden katar to the border of it all around.

26 And you shall make for it four rings of gold and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet of it.

27 Over against the border shall the rings be for places for the poles to bear the shulchan.

28 And you shall make the poles of acacia wood and cover them with gold, that the shulchan may be borne with them.

29 And you shall make the dishes of it and spoons of it and the covers of it and bowls of it, to cover all over: of pure gold shall you make them.

30 And you shall put the Lacham ha Panayim on the shulchan before Me always.

31 And you shall make a manorah of pure gold: of beaten work shall the manorah be made: its shaft and its branches, its bowls, its knobs and its blossoms, shall be from the same piece.

32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the manorah out of one side and three branches of the manorah on the other side:

33 Three cups made like almonds, with a knob and a blossom in one branch; and three cups made like almonds in the other branch, with a knob and a blossom: for the six branches that come out of the menorah.

34 And on the manorah itself shall be four cups made like almonds, with their knobs and their blossom.

35 And there shall be a knob under two branches of the same piece and a knob under two branches of the same piece and a knob under two branches of the same piece, according to the six branches that proceed out of the manorah.

36 Their knobs and their branches shall be the same: all of it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.

37 And you shall make the seven lamps of it: and they shall light the lamps of it, that they may give ohr opposite it.

38 And the snuffers of it and the trays of it, shall be of pure gold.

39 Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.

40 See to it that you make them after their pattern, which was showed to you in the har.

26 Moreover you shall make the Mishkan with ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet: with cheruvim of skilled work shall you make them.

2 The length of one curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits and the width of one curtain four cubits: and every one of the curtains shall have one measure.

3 The five curtains shall be coupled together one to another; and other five curtains shall be coupled one to another.

4 And you shall make loops of blue upon the edge of the end curtain on one set; and likewise shall you make in the uttermost edge of the end curtain, in the coupling of the second.

5 Fifty loops shall you make in the one curtain and fifty loops shall you make in the edge of the curtain that is in the coupling of the second; that the loops may take hold one of another.

6 And you shall make fifty hooks of gold and couple the curtains together with the hooks: and it shall be one Mishkan.

7 And you shall make curtains of goats' hair to be a covering upon the Mishkan: eleven curtains shall you make.

8 The length of one curtain shall be thirty cubits and the width of one curtain four cubits: and the eleven curtains shall be all of one measure.

9 And you shall couple five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves and shall double the sixth curtain in the forefront of the Mishkan.

10 And you shall make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outmost in the coupling and fifty loops in the edge of the curtain and second set.

11 And you shall make fifty hooks of brass and put the hooks into the loops and couple the tent together, that it may be one.

12 And the remnant that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the backside of the Mishkan.

13 And a cubit on the one side and a cubit on the other side of that which remains in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall hang over the sides of the Mishkan on this side and on that side, to cover it.

14 And you shall make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red and a covering above made of blue/violet skins.

15 And you shall make boards for the Mishkan of acacia wood standing up.

16 Ten cubits shall be the length of a board and a cubit and a half shall be the width of one board.

17 Two tenons shall there be in one board, set in order one against another: this shall you make for all the boards of the Mishkan.

18 And you shall make the boards for the Mishkan, twenty boards on the south side southward.

19 And you shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.

20 And for the second side of the Mishkan on the north side there shall be twenty boards:

21 And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board.

22 And for the sides of the Mishkan westward you shall make six boards.

23 And two boards shall you make for the corners of the Mishkan in the two sides.

24 And they shall be coupled together beneath and they shall be coupled together above the head of it to one ring: this shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.

25 And there shall be eight boards and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board.

26 And you shall make bars of acacia wood; five for the boards of the one side of the Mishkan,

27 And five bars for the boards of the other side of the Mishkan and five bars for the boards of the side of the Mishkan, for the two sides westward.

28 And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall reach from end to end.

29 And you shall cover the boards with gold and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and you shall cover the bars with gold.

30 And you shall raise up the Mishkan according to the fashion of it that was showed to you on the har.

31 And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen of skilled work: with charuvim shall it be made:

32 And you shall hang it upon four pillars of acacia wood covered with gold: their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver.

33 And you shall hang up the veil from the hooks, so that you may bring inside within the veil the Ark of the Testimony: and the veil shall divide between the Makom Kadosh and the Most-Kadosh-Place.

34 And you shall put the lid of kaporah upon the Ark of the Testimony in the Most-Kadosh-Place.

35 And you shall set the shulchan outside the veil and the menorah opposite the shulchan on the side of the Mishkan towards the south: and you shall put the shulchan on the north side.

36 And you shall make a hanging for the door of the tent, of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen, made with needlework.

37 And you shall make for the hanging five pillars of acacia wood and cover them with gold and their hooks shall be of gold: and you shall cast five sockets of brass for them.

27 And you shall make an altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height of it shall be three cubits.

2 And you shall make the horns of it upon the four corners of it: its horns shall be the same: and you shall cover it with brass.

3 And you shall make its pans to receive its ashes and its shovels and its basins and its flesh hooks and its firepans: all the vessels of it you shall make of brass.

4 And you shall make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shall you make four brass rings in the four corners of it.

5 And you shall put it under the compass of the altar beneath that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.

6 And you shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood and cover them with brass.

7 And the poles shall be put into the rings and the poles shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.

8 Hollow with boards shall you make it: as it was showed to you in the har, so shall they make it.

9 And you shall make the court of the Mishkan: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen one hundred cubits long for one side:

10 And the twenty pillars of it and their twenty sockets shall be of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver.

11 And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of one hundred cubits long, with its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver.

12 And for the width of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten and their sockets ten.

13 And the width of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.

14 The hangings of one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three and their sockets three.

15 And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three and their sockets three.

16 And for the gate of the court shall be a hanging of twenty cubits, of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen, made with needlework: and their pillars shall be four and their sockets four.

17 All the pillars all around the court shall be banded with silver; their hooks shall be of silver and their sockets of brass.

18 The length of the court shall be a hundred cubits and the width fifty everywhere and the height five cubits of fine twined linen and their sockets of brass.

19 All the vessels of the Mishkan in all the service of it and all the pegs of it and all the pegs of the court, shall be of brass.

20 And you shall command the children of Yahsrahal that they bring you pure olive oil beaten for the ohr, to cause the lamp to burn always.

21 In the Mishkan of the kahilla outside the veil, which is before the testimony, Aharon and his sons shall tend it from evening to boker before YHUH: it shall be a chuk la-olam-va-ad to their generations on behalf of the children of Yahsrahal.

28 And bring near Aharon your brother and his sons with him, from among the children of Yahsrahal, that he may serve Me in the kohen’s office, even Aharon, Nadav and Avihu, Al-Azar and Ithamar, Aharon's sons.

2 And you shall make kadosh garments for Aharon your brother for tifarath and for beauty.

3 And you shall speak to all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with The Ruach of chochmah, that they may make Aharon's garments to consecrate him, that he may attend to Me in the kohan’s office.

4 And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate and a shoulder garment and a robe and a broidered coat, a turban and a girdle: and they shall make kadosh garments for Aharon your brother and his sons, that he may attend to Me in the kohan’s office.

5 And they shall take gold and blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen.

6 And they shall make the shoulder garment of gold, of blue and of purple, of scarlet and fine twined linen, with skilled work.

7 It shall have the two shoulder pieces joined at the two edges of it; and so it shall be joined together.

8 And the embroidered band of the shoulder garment, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work of it; even of gold, of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen.

9 And you shall take two onyx stones, and inscribe on them the names of the children of Yahsrahal:

10 Six of their names on one stone and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.

11 With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shall you engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Yahsrahal: you shall make them to be set in settings of gold.

12 And you shall put the two stones upon the shoulders of the shoulder garment for stones of memorial to the children of Yahsrahal: and Aharon shall bear their names before YHUH upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

13 And you shall make settings of gold;

14 And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of braided cords shall you make them and fasten the braided cords to the settings.

15 And you shall make the breastplate of mishpat with skilled work; like the work of the shoulder garment you shall make it; of gold, of blue and of purple and of scarlet and of fine twined linen, shall you make it.

16 Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length of it and a span shall be the width of it.

17 And you shall set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.

18 And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire and a diamond.

19 And the third row a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst.

20 And the fourth row a beryl and an onyx and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their settings.

21 And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Yahsrahal, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with its name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.

22 And you shall make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of corded work of pure gold.

23 And you shall make upon the breastplate two rings of gold and shall put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

24 And you shall put the two-corded chains of gold in the two rings that are on the ends of the breastplate.

25 And the other two ends of the two-corded chains you shall fasten in the two settings and put them on the shoulder pieces of the shoulder garment before it.

26 And you shall make two rings of gold and you shall put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border of it, which is in the side of the shoulder garment inward.

27 And two other rings of gold you shall make and shall put them on the two sides of the shoulder garment underneath, on the front of it, opposite the other coupling of it, above the embroidered band of the shoulder garment.

28 And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings of it to the rings of the shoulder garment with a lace of blue, that it may be above the embroidered band of the shoulder garment, so that the breastplate is not loosed from the shoulder garment.

29 And Aharon shall bear the names of the children of Yahsrahal on the breastplate of mishpat upon his lav, when he goes in to the kadosh place, for a memorial before YHUH continually.

30 And you shall put on the breastplate of mishpat the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aharon's lav, when he goes in before YHUH: and Aharon shall bear the mishpat of the children of Yahsrahal upon his lev before YHUH continually.

31 And you shall make the robe of the shoulder garment all in blue.

32 And there shall be a hole in the top of it, in the midst of it: it shall have a binding of woven work all around the hole of it, as it were the hole of strong armor that it be not torn.

33 And beneath upon the hem of it you shall make pomegranates of blue and of purple and of scarlet, all around the hem of it; and bells of gold between them all around:

34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe all around.

35 And it shall be upon Aharon to attend: and its sound shall be heard when he goes in to the kadosh place before YHUH and when he comes out, that he dies not.

36 And you shall make a plate of pure gold and engrave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, Kadosh-Le-YHUH.

37 And you shall put it on a blue lace that it may be upon the turban; upon the forefront of the turban it shall be.

38 And it shall be upon Aharon's forehead, that Aharon may bear the iniquity of the kadosh things, which the children of Yahsrahal shall set apart in all their kadosh gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before YHUH.

39 And you shall embroider the coat of fine linen and you shall make the turban of fine linen and you shall make the girdle of needlework.

40 And for Aharon's sons you shall make coats and you shall make for them girdles and turbans shall you make for them, for tifarath and for beauty.

41 And you shall put them upon Aharon your brother and his sons with him; and shall anoint them and consecrate them and set them apart, that they may attend to Me in the kohan’s office.

42 And you shall make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even to the thighs they shall reach:

43 And they shall be upon Aharon and upon his sons, when they come in to the Mishkan of the kahilla, or when they come near to the altar to attend in the kadosh place; that they bear not iniquity and die: it shall be a chuk la-olam-va-ad to him and his zara after him.

29 And this is the thing that you shall do to them to set them apart, to attend to Me in the kohan’s office: Take one young bullock and two rams without blemish,

2 And matzah and cakes unleavened tempered with oil and wafers unleavened anointed with oil: of wheat flour shall you make them.

3 And you shall put them into one basket and bring them in the basket, with the bullock and the two rams.

4 And Aharon and his sons you shall bring to the door of the Mishkan of the kahilla and shall wash them with mayim.

5 And you shall take the garments and put upon Aharon the coat and the robe of the shoulder garment and the shoulder garment and the breastplate and gird him with the embroidered band of the shoulder garment:

6 And you shall put the turban upon his head and put the kadosh katar upon the turban.

7 Then shall you take the anointing oil and pour it upon his head and anoint him.

8 And you shall bring his sons and put long shirts upon them.

9 And you shall gird them with girdles, Aharon and his sons and put the turbans on them: and the kohen’s office shall be theirs for a perpetual chuk: and you shall consecrate Aharon and his sons.

10 And you shall cause a bullock to be brought before the Mishkan of the kahilla: and Aharon and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the bullock.

11 And you shall kill the bullock before YHUH, by the door of the Mishkan of the kahilla.

12 And you shall take of the dahm of the bullock and put it upon the horns of the altar with your finger and pour all the dahm beside the bottom of the altar.

13 And you shall take all the fat that covers the inwards and the lobe that is above the liver and the two kidneys and the fat that is upon them and burn them upon the altar.

14 But the flesh of the bullock and his skin and his dung, shall you burn with fire outside the camp: it is a sin offering.

15 You shall also take one ram; and Aharon and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.

16 And you shall slay the ram and you shall take its dahm and sprinkle it all around upon the altar.

17 And you shall cut the ram in pieces and wash the inwards of it and its legs and put them upon its pieces and on its head.

18 And you shall burn the whole ram upon the altar: it is a burnt offering to YHUH: it is a sweet savor, an offering made by fire to YHUH.

19 And you shall take the other ram; and Aharon and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.

20 Then shall you kill the ram and take of its dahm and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aharon and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons and upon the thumb of their right hand and upon the great toe of their right foot and sprinkle the dahm upon the altar all around.

21 And you shall take of the dahm that is upon the altar and of the anointing oil and sprinkle it upon Aharon and upon his garments and upon his sons and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be kadosh and his garments and his sons and his sons' garments with him.

22 Also you shall take of the ram the fat and the rump and the fat that covers the inwards and the lobe above the liver and the two kidneys and the fat that is upon them and the right thigh; for it is a ram of consecration:

23 And one loaf of lacham and one cake of oiled lacham and one wafer out of the basket of the matzah that is before YHUH:

24 And you shall put all in the hands of Aharon and in the hands of his sons; and shall wave them for a wave offering before YHUH.

25 And you shall receive them from their hands and burn them upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savor before YHUH: it is an offering made by fire to YHUH.

26 And you shall take the breast of the ram of Aharon's consecration and wave it for a wave offering before YHUH: and it shall be your portion.

27 And you shall set apart the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution offering, which is waved and which is heaved up, of the ram of the consecration, even of that which is for Aharon and of that which is for his sons:

28 And it shall be Aharon's and his sons' by a chuk la-olam-va-ad from the children of Yahsrahal: for it is a contribution offering: and it shall be a contribution offering from the children of Yahsrahal of the sacrifice of their shalom offerings, even their contribution offering to YHUH.

29 And the kadosh garments of Aharon shall become his sons' after him, to be anointed in them and to be consecrated in them.

30 And that son that is kohan in his place shall put them on seven yamim, when he comes into the Mishkan of the kahilla to attend in the kadosh place.

31 And you shall take the ram of the consecration and cook its flesh in the kadosh place.

32 And Aharon and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the lacham that is in the basket, by the door of the Mishkan of the kahilla.

33 And they shall eat those things with which the kaporah was made, to consecrate and to set them apart: but a gar shall not eat of it because they are kadosh.

34 And if any of the flesh of the consecrations, or of the lacham, remain to the bokar, then you shall burn the remainder with fire: it shall not be eaten because it is kadosh.

35 And this shall you do to Aharon and to his sons, according to all things that I have commanded you: seven yamim shall you consecrate them.

36 And you shall offer every yom a bullock for a sin offering for kaporah: and you shall cleanse the altar, when you have made a kaporah for it and you shall anoint it, to set it apart.

37 Seven yamim you shall make kaporah for the altar and set it apart; and it shall be an altar most kadosh: whatever touches the altar shall be kadosh.

38 Now this is that which you shall offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year yom by yom continually.

39 The one lamb you shall offer in the bokar; and the other lamb you shall offer at evening:

40 And with the one lamb a tenth aphah of flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering.

41 And the other lamb you shall offer at evening and shall do like according to the meat offering of the bokar and according to the drink offering of it, for a sweet savor, an offering made by fire to YHUH.

42 This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the Mishkan of the kahilla before YHUH: where I will meet you, to speak there to you.

43 And there I will meet with the children of Yahsrahal and the Mishkan shall be kadosh by My tifarath.

44 And I will set apart the Mishkan of the kahilla and the altar: I will set apart also both Aharon and his sons, to attend to Me in the kohan’s office.

45 And I will dwell among the children of Yahsrahal and will be their Myhla.

46 And they shall know that I AM YHUH their Myhla, that brought them forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, that I may dwell among them: I AM YHUH their Myhla.

30 And you shall make an altar to burn incense upon: of acacia wood shall you make it.

2 A cubit shall be the length of it and a cubit the width of it; foursquare shall it be: and two cubits shall be the height of it: the horns of it shall be of the same.

3 And you shall cover it with pure gold, the top of it and the sides of it all around and the horns of it; and you shall make for it a katar of gold all around.

4 And two golden rings shall you make for it under the katar of it, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides of it shall you make it; and they shall be for places for the poles with which to bear it.

5 And you shall make the poles of acacia wood and cover them with gold.

6 And you shall put it before the veil that is by the Ark of the Testimony, before the lid of keporah that is over the testimony, where I will meet with you.

7 And Aharon shall burn on it sweet incense every boker: when he prepares the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.

8 And when Aharon lights the lamps at evening, he shall burn incense upon it, perpetual incense before YHUH throughout your generations.

9 You shall offer no strange incense on it, or burnt sacrifice, or meat offering; neither shall you pour a drink offering on it.

10 And Aharon shall make a kaporah upon the horns of it once in a year with the dahm of the sin offering of kaporah: once in the year shall he make kaporah upon it throughout your generations: it is most kadosh to YHUH.

11 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

12 When you take the census of the children of Yahsrahal after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his being to YHUH, when you number them; that there be no plague among them, when you number them.

13 This they shall give, every one that passes among them that are numbered, half a shakal after the shakal of the Kadosh-Place: (a shakal is twenty gerahs:) a half shakal shall be the offering of YHUH.

14 Every one that passes among them that is numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering to YHUH.

15 The rich shall not give more and the poor shall not give less than half a shakal, when you give an offering to YHUH, to make a kaporah for your beings.

16 And you shall take the kaporah money of the children of Yahsrahal and shall appoint it for the service of the Mishkan of the kahilla; that it may be a memorial to the children of Yahsrahal before YHUH, to make a kaporah for your beings.

17 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

18 You shall also make a basin of brass and its foot also of brass, to wash with: and you shall put it between the Mishkan of the kahilla and the altar and you shall put mayim inside.

19 For Aharon and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet there:

20 When they go into the Mishkan of the kahilla, they shall wash with mayim, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to attend, to burn offering made by fire to YHUH:

21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they die not: and it shall be a chuk la-olam-va-ad to them, even to him and to his zara throughout their generations.

22 Moreover YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

23 Take for you principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shakals and of sweet cinnamon half as much, even two hundred and fifty shakals and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shakals,

24 And of cassia five hundred shakals, after the shakal of the Kadosh-Place and of olive oil a hin:

25 And you shall make it into an oil of kadosh ointment, an ointment compound after the work of the perfumer: it shall be a kadosh anointing oil.

26 And you shall anoint the Mishkan of the kahilla with it and the Ark of the Testimony,

27 And the shulchan and all its vessels and the manorah and its vessels and the altar of incense,

28 And the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels and the basin and its stand.

29 And you shall set them apart, that they may be most kadosh: so that whatever touches them shall be kadosh.

30 And you shall anoint Aharon and his sons and consecrate them, that they may attend to Me in the kohan’s office.

31 And you shall speak to the children of Yahsrahal, saying, This shall be a kadosh anointing oil to Me throughout your generations.

32 Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall you make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is kadosh and it shall be kadosh to you.

33 Whoever produces any like it, or whoever puts any of it upon a gar, shall even be cut off from his people.

34 And YHUH said to Mosha, Take sweet spices, stacte and onycha and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight:

35 And you shall make it a perfume, a confection after the work of a perfumer, salted, pure and kadosh:

36 And you shall beat some of it very fine and put of it before the testimony in the Mishkan of the kahilla, where I will meet with you: it shall be to you most kadosh.

37 And as for the incense that you shall make, you shall not make to yourselves according to the composition of it: it shall be to you kadosh for YHUH.

38 Whoever shall make anything like it, to even smell it, shall be cut off from his people.

31 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

2 See, I have called by name Batzala-Al the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Yahudah:

3 And I have filled him with The Ruach of Myhla, in chochmah and in binah and in da’at and in all manner of workmanship,

4 To devise skilled works, to work in gold and in silver and in brass,

5 And in cutting of stones, to set them and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

6 And I, see, I have appointed with him Aholiav, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the lavavot of all that are wise hearted, I have put chochmah, that they may make all that I have commanded you;

7 The Mishkan of the kahilla and the Ark of the Testimony and the lid of kaporah that is on it and all the furniture of the Mishkan,

8 And the shulchan and its furniture and the pure manorah with all its furniture and the altar of incense,

9 And the altar of burnt offering with all its furniture and the basin and its stand.

10 And the clothing of service and the kadosh garments for Aharon the kohen and the garments of his sons, to attend in the kohan’s office,

11 And the anointing oil and sweet incense for the kadosh place: according to all that I have commanded you shall they do.

12 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

13 Speak also to the children of Yahsrahal, saying, Truly My Shabbats you shall shomar: for it is an ot between Me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I AM YHUH that does set you apart.

14 You shall shomar The Shabbat therefore; for it is kadosh for you: every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whoever does any work on it, that being shall be cut off from among his people.

15 Six yamim may work be done; but on the seventh is The Shabbat of rest, kadosh to YHUH: whoever does any work on The Shabbat yom; he shall surely be put to death.

16 Therefore the children of Yahsrahal shall shomar The Shabbat, to observe The Shabbat throughout their generations, for an everlasting brit.

17 It is an ot between Me and the children of Yahsrahal la-olam-va-ad: for in six yamim YHUH made the shamayim and the earth and on the seventh yom He rested and was refreshed.

18 And He gave to Mosha, when He had made an end of communing with him upon Har Senai, two tablets of testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of Myhla .

32 And when the people saw that Mosha delayed to come down out of the har, the people gathered themselves together to Aharon and said to him, Get up, make us ahlahim, that shall go before us; for as for this Mosha, the man that brought us up out of the land of Mitzrayim, we do not know what has become of him.

2 And Aharon said to them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons and of your daughters and bring them to me.

3 And all the people broke off the golden earrings that were in their ears and brought them to Aharon.

4 And he received them at their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a golden calf: and they said, These be your ahlahim, O Yahsrahal, which brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim.

5 And when Aharon saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aharon made a proclamation and said, Tomorrow is a moed to YHUH.

6 And they rose up early in the bokar and offered burnt offerings and brought shalom offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink and rose up to play.

7 And YHUH said to Mosha, Go, get yourself down; for your people, which you brought out of the land of Mitzrayim, have corrupted themselves:

8 They have turned aside quickly out of the halacha which I commanded them: they have made themselves a molded calf and have worshipped it and have sacrificed to it and said, These be your ahlahim , O Yahsrahal, which have brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim.

9 And YHUH said to Mosha, I have seen this people and see; it is a stiff-necked people:

10 Now therefore leave Me alone, that My anger may wax hot against them and that I may consume them: and I will make from you a great nation. And as for Aharon; YHUH was very angry to destroy him. And Mosha made tafillah for Aharon.

11 And Mosha sought YHUH his Myhla and said,YHUH, why does Your anger wax hot against Your people, which You have brought forth out of the land of Mitzrayim with great Power and with a mighty hand?

12 Why should the Mitzrim speak and say, For evil did He bring them out, to slay them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from Your fierce anger and relent of this evil against Your people.

13 Remember Avraham, Yitzchak and Yisrael, Your avadim, to whom You swore by Your own self and said to them, I will multiply your zara as the cochavim of the shamayim and all this land that I have spoken of will I give to your zara and they shall inherit it la-olam-va-ad.

14 And YHUH relented of the evil which He thought to do to His people.

15 And Mosha turned and went down from the har and the two tablets of the testimony were in his hand: the tablets were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.

16 And the tablets were the work of Myhla and the writing was the writing of Myhla, inscribed upon the tablets.

17 And when Husha heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Mosha, There is a noise of war in the camp.

18 And Mosha said, It is not the voice of them originating from strength, neither is it the voice of them routing the enemy: but the noise originating from celebrating wine I hear and the voice of sin.

19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came near to the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing: and Moshe's anger became hot and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them beneath the har.

20 And he took the calf that they had made and burned it in the fire and ground it to powder and scattered it upon the mayim and made the children of Yahsrahal drink of it.

21 And Mosha said to Aharon, What did this people do to you, that you have brought so great a sin upon them?

22 And Aharon said, Let not the anger of my master burn: you know the people that they are set on evil.

23 For they said to me, Make us ahlahim, which shall go before us: for as for this Mosha, the man that brought us up out of the land of Mitzrayim, we do not know what has become of him.

24 And I said to them, Whoever has any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire and there came out this calf.

25 And when Mosha saw that the people had broken loose; for Aharon had let them loose to their shame among their enemies:

26 Then Mosha stood in the gate of the camp and said, Who is on YHUH's side? Let him come to me. And all the sons of Lawi gathered themselves together to him.

27 And he said to them, This says YHUH Myhla of Yahsrahal, Put every man his sword by his side and go in and out from tent to tent throughout the camp and slay every man his brother and every man his companion and every man his neighbor.

28 And the children of Lawi did according to the word of Mosha: and there died of the people that yom about three thousand men.

29 For Mosha had said, Ordain yourselves today for service to YHUH, since every man was against his son and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a bracha this yom.

30 And it came to pass on the next yom, that Moshe said to the people, You have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up to YHUH; perhaps I shall make a kaporah for your sin.

31 And Mosha returned to YHUH and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin and have made for themselves ahlahim of gold.

32 Yet now, if You will please forgive their sin….; but if not, please blot me, I ask You, out of Your scroll that You have written.

33 And YHUH said to Mosha, Whoever has sinned against Me, him will I blot out of My scroll.

34 Therefore now go lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you: see, My Malach shall go before you: nevertheless in the yom when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.

35 And YHUH plagued the people because they made the calf, which Aharon also made.

33 And YHUH said to Mosha, Depart and go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought up out of the land of Mitzrayim, to the land which I swore to Avraham, to Yitzchak and to Yaakov, saying, Unto your zara will I give it:

2 And I will send A Malach before you; and I will drive out the Kanaanite, the Amorite and the Hittite and the Parizzite, the Hivite and the Yavusite:

3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of you; for you are a stiff-necked people: lest I consume you in the darach.

4 And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.

5 For YHUH had said to Mosha, Say to the children of Yahsrahal, You are a stiff-necked people: I will come up into the midst of you in a moment and consume you: therefore now put off your ornaments from you, that I may know what to do to you.

6 And the children of Yahsrahal stripped themselves of their ornaments by the Har Horav.

7 And Mosha took the Mishkan and pitched it outside the camp, far off from the camp and called it the Mishkan of the kahilla. And it came to pass, that every one who sought YHUH went out to the Mishkan of the kahilla, which was outside the camp.

8 And it came to pass, when Mosha went out to the Mishkan that all the people rose up and stood every man at his tent door and looked at Mosha, until he was gone into the Mishkan.

9 And it came to pass, as Moshe entered into the Mishkan, the cloudy pillar descended and stood at the door of the Mishkan and YHUH talked with Mosha.

10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the Mishkan door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door. 

11 And YHUH spoke to Mosha panayim-al-panayim, as a man speaks to his chavar. And he returned again into the camp: but his avad Husha, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the Mishkan.

12 And Mosha said to YHUH, See, You said to me, Bring up this people: and You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, I know you by name and you have also found chen in My sight.

13 Now therefore, I ask You, if I have found chan in Your sight, show me now Your Darach, that I may know You, that I may find chan in Your sight: and consider that this nation is Your people.

14 And He said, My Presence shall go with you and I will give you rest.

15 And he said to Him, If Your Presence goes not with me, carry us not up there.

16 For how shall it be known here that I and Your people have found chan in Your sight? Except You go with us? So shall we be separated, I and Your people, from all the goyim that are upon the face of the earth.

17 And YHUH said to Mosha, I will do this thing also that you have spoken: for you have found chan in My sight and I know you by name.

18 And Mosha said, I beg You, show me Your Kavod.

19 And He said, I will make all My Tov to pass before you and I will proclaim the Name of YHUH before you; And will show unmerited chen to whom I will and will show rachamim to whom I will.

20 And He said, You cannot see My face: for there shall no man see Me and live.

21 And YHUH said, See, there is a place by Me and you shall stand upon The Rock:

22 And it shall come to pass, while My Kavod passes by, that I will put you in a cleft of the Rock and will cover you with My hand while I pass by:

23 And I will take away My Hand and you shall see My back: But My face shall not be seen.

34 And YHUH said to Mosha, Cut two tablets of stone like the first: and I will write upon these tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.

2 And be ready in the bokar and come up in the bokar to Har Senai and present yourself there to Me on the top of the har.

3 And no man shall come up with you, neither let any man be seen throughout the entire har; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before the har.

4 And he cut two tablets of stone like the first; and Mosha rose up early in the boker and went up to Har Senai, as YHUH had commanded him and took in his hand the two tablets of stone.

5 And YHUH descended in the cloud and stood with him there and proclaimed the Name of YHUH.

6 And YHUH passed by before him and proclaimed, YHUH, YHUH. An Al, full of rachamim and chan, longsuffering and abundant in, chasad and amat,

7 Keeping chesed for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin and will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the ahvot upon the children and upon the children's children, to the third and to the fourth generation.

8 And Mosha hurried and bowed his head toward the earth and worshipped.

9 And he said, If now I have found chen in Your sight, O YHUH, let YHUH, I beg You, go among us; for it is a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin and take us for Your inheritance.

10 And He said, See, I make a brit: before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among whom you are, shall see the work of YHUH: for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.

11 Observe that which I command you this yom. See, I drive out from before you the Amorite and the Kanaanite and the Hittite and the Parizzite and the Hivite and the Yavusite.

12 Guard yourself, lest you make a brit with the inhabitants of the land where you go, lest it be for a snare in the midst of you:

13 But you shall destroy their altars, break their images and cut down their groves:

14 For you shall worship no other al: for YHUH, whose Name is Zealous, is a zealous Al:

15 Lest you make a brit with the inhabitants of the land and they go whoring after their ahlahim and do sacrifice to their ahlahim and one calls to you and you eat of his sacrifice;

16 And you take of their daughters for your sons and their daughters go whoring after their ahlahim and make your sons go whoring after their ahlahim.

17 You shall make yourselves no molded ahlahim.

18 Chag Matzoth shall you shomar. Seven yamim you shall eat matzah, as I commanded you, at the time of the chodash Aviv: for in the chodash Aviv you came out from Mitzrayim.

19 All that pehters the womb is Mine; and every bachor among your cattle, whether ox, or sheep, that is male.

20 But the bachor of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb: and if you redeem him not, then shall you break his neck. All the bachor of your sons you shall redeem. And none shall appear before Me empty.

21 Six yamim you shall work, but on the seventh yom you shall rest: in plowing time and in harvest time you shall rest.

22 And you shall observe Chag Shavuot, of the bikkurim of the wheat harvest and the moadeem of the ingatherings in the middle of the year and the chag of the last ingathering-Sukkot at the turn of the year-takufat ha-shanna.

23 Three times in the year shall all your male children appear before YHUH Myhla, the Myhla of Yahsrahal.

24 For I will cast out the goyim before you and enlarge your borders: neither shall any man desire your land, when you shall go up to appear before YHUH your Myhla three times in the year.

25 You shall not offer the dahm of My sacrifice with chamatz; neither shall the sacrifice of the moad of the Pasach be left to the bokar.

26 The first of the bikkurim of your land you shall bring to the Bayit of YHUH your Myhla. You shall not cook a kid in its eema's milk.

27 And YHUH said to Mosha, Write these Words: for according to the mouth of these Words I have made a brit with you and with Yahsrahal.

28 And Mosha was there with YHUH forty yamim and forty laylot; he did neither eat lacham, nor drink mayim. And he wrote upon the tablets the words of the brit, the ten words.

29 And it came to pass, when Moshe came down from Har Senai with the two tablets of testimony in Mosha's hand, when he came down from the har, that Mosha did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.

30 And when Aharon and all the children of Yahsrahal saw Mosha, see, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.

31 And Mosha called to them; and to Aharon and all the rulers of the kahilla returned to him: and Mosha talked with them.

32 And afterward all the children of Yahsrahal came near: and he gave them in commands all that YHUH had spoken with him on Har Senai.

33 And until Mosha had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.

34 But when Mosha went in before YHUH to speak with Him, he took the veil off, until he came out. And he came out and spoke to the children of Yahsrahal that which he was commanded.

35 And the children of Yahsrahal saw the face of Mosha that the skin of Mosha's face shone; and Mosha put the veil upon his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.

35 And Mosha gathered all the kahilla of the children of Yahsrahal together and said to them, These are the words that YHUH has commanded, that you should do them.

2 Six yamim shall work be done, but on the seventh yom there shall be to you a kadosh yom, a Shabbat of rest to YHUH: whoever does work on it shall be put to death.

3 You shall kindle no fire throughout your dwellings upon The Shabbat yom.

4 And Mosha spoke to all the kahilla of the children of Yahsrahal, saying, This is the thing that YHUH commanded, saying,

5 Take from among you an offering to YHUH: whoever is of a willing lav, let him bring it, an offering for YHUH; gold and silver and brass,

6 And blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats' hair,

7 And rams' skins dyed red and blue/violet skins and acacia wood,

8 And oil for the ohr and spices for anointing oil and for the sweet incense,

9 And onyx stones and stones to be set for the shoulder garment and for the breastplate.

10 And every wise hearted among you shall come and make all that YHUH has commanded;

11 The Mishkan, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its boards, its bars, its pillars and its sockets,

12 The ark and the poles of it, with the lid of kaporah and the veil of the covering,

13 The shulchan and its poles and all its vessels and the Lacham ha Panayim,

14 The manorah also for the ohr and its furniture and its lamps, with the oil for the ohr,

15 And the incense altar and its poles and the anointing oil and the sweet incense and the hanging for the door at the entrance of the Mishkan,

16 The altar of burnt offering, with its bronze grating, its poles and all its vessels, the basin and its stand,

17 The hangings of the court, its pillars and their sockets and the hanging for the door of the court,

18 The pegs of the Mishkan and the pegs of the court and their cords,

19 The clothing of service, to do service in the kadosh place, the kadosh garments for Aharon the kohen and the garments of his sons, to attend in the kohan’s office.

20 And all the kahilla of the children of Yahsrahal departed from the presence of Mosha.

21 And they came, every one whose lev was stirred up and every one whose ruach was willing and they brought YHUH's offering to the work of the Mishkan of the kahilla, for all its service and for the kadosh garments.

22 And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing in lav and brought bracelets and earrings and rings and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered a wave offering of gold to YHUH.

23 And every man, with whom was found blue and purple and scarlet and fine linen and goats' hair and red skins of rams and blue/violet skins, brought them.

24 Every one that did offer an offering of silver and brass brought an offering to YHUH: and every man, with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it.

25 And all the women that were wise in lav did spin with their hands and brought that which they had spun, both of blue and of purple and of scarlet and of fine linen.

26 And all the women whose lav stirred them up in chochmah spun goats' hair.

27 And the rulers brought onyx stones and stones to be set, for the shoulder garment and for the breastplate;

28 And spices and oil for the ohr and for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense.

29 The children of Yahsrahal brought a willing offering to YHUH, every man and woman, whose lav made them willing to bring something for all manner of work, which YHUH had commanded to be made by the hand of Mosha.

30 And Mosha said to the children of Yahsrahal, See, YHUH has called by name Batzal-Al the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Yahudah;

31 And He has filled him with The Ruach of Myhla, in chochmah, in binah and in da’at and in all manner of workmanship;

32 And to design, to work in gold and in silver and in brass,

33 And in the cutting of stones, to set them and in carving of wood, to make all manner of skilled work.

34 And He has put this in his lev that he may teach, both he and Aholiav, the son of Achisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

35 Them has He filled with chochmah of lav, to work all manner of work, of the engraver and of the skilled workman and of the embroiderer, in blue and in purple, in scarlet and in fine linen and of the weaver, even of them that do any work and of those that design skilled work.

36 Then made Batzal-Al and Aholiav and every wise hearted man, in whom YHUH put chochmah and binah to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the Kadosh-Place, according to all that YHUH had commanded.

2 And Mosha called Batzal-Al and Aholiav and every wise hearted man, in whose lav YHUH had put chochmah, even every one whose lav was stirred up to come to the work to do it:

3 And they received from Mosha all the offerings, which the children of Yahsrahal had brought for the work of the service of the Kadosh-Place, to make it complete. And they brought to him free will offerings every bokar.

4 And all the wise men, that were doing all the work of the Kadosh-Place, came every man from his work that they made;

5 And they spoke to Mosha, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which YHUH commanded to make.

6 And Mosha gave an order and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make anymore work for the offering of the Kadosh-Place. So the people were restrained from bringing.

7 For that which they had was sufficient for all the work to be made; and it was too much.

8 And every wise hearted man among them that made the work of the Mishkan made ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet: with cheruvim of skilled work he made them.

9 The length of one curtain was twenty eight cubits and the width of one curtain four cubits: the curtains were all of one size.

10 And he coupled the five curtains one to another: and the other five curtains he coupled one to another.

11 And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from one set in the coupling: likewise he made them in the end curtain, in the coupling of the second.

12 Fifty loops he made in one curtain and fifty loops he made in the edge of the curtain that was in the coupling of the second: the loops held one curtain to another.

13 And he made fifty hooks of gold and coupled the curtains one to another with the hooks: so it became one Mishkan.

14 And he made curtains of goats' hair for the tent over the Mishkan: eleven curtains he made them.

15 The length of one curtain was thirty cubits and four cubits was the width of one curtain: the eleven curtains were of one size.

16 And he coupled five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves.

17 And he made fifty loops upon the uttermost edge of the curtain in the coupling and fifty loops he made upon the edge of the curtain that couples the second.

18 And he made fifty hooks of brass to couple the tent together, that it might be one.

19 And he made a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red and a covering of blue/violet skins above that.

20 And he made boards for the Mishkan of acacia wood, standing up.

21 The length of a board was ten cubits and the width of a board one cubit and a half.

22 One board had two tenons, equally distant one from another: so did he make for all the boards of the Mishkan.

23 And he made boards for the Mishkan; twenty boards for the south side southward:

24 And forty sockets of silver he made under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.

25 And for the other side of the Mishkan, which is toward the north corner, he made twenty boards,

26 And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board.

27 And for the sides of the Mishkan westward he made six boards.

28 And two boards made he for the corners of the Mishkan in the two sides.

29 And they were coupled beneath and coupled together at the head of it, to one ring: this he did to both of them in both the corners.

30 And there were eight boards; and their sockets were sixteen sockets of silver, under every board two sockets.

31 And he made bars of acacia wood; five for the boards of the one side of the Mishkan,

32 And five bars for the boards of the other side of the Mishkan and five bars for the boards of the Mishkan for the sides westward.

33 And he made the middle bar to shoot through the boards from the one end to the other.

34 And he covered the boards with gold and made their rings of gold to be places for the bars and covered the bars with gold.

35 And he made a veil of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen: with cheruvim he made it of skilled work.

36 And he made four pillars of acacia wood and covered them with gold: their hooks were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver.

37 And he made a covering for the Mishkan door of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen, of needlework;

38 And the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he covered their tops and their rings with gold: but their five sockets were of brass.

37 And Batzal-Al made the ark of acacia wood: two cubits and a half was the length of it and a cubit and a half the width of it and a cubit and a half the height of it:

2 And he covered it with pure gold inside and outside and made a katar of gold for it all around.

3 And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it; even two rings upon one side of it and two rings upon the other side of it.

4 And he made poles of acacia wood and covered them with gold.

5 And he put the poles into the rings by the sides of the ark, to bear the ark.

6 And he made the lid of kaporah of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length of it and one cubit and a half the width of it.

7 And he made two cheruvim of gold, beaten out of one piece he made them, on the two ends of the lid of kaporah;

8 One charuv on the end on this side and another charuv on the other end on that side: out of the lid of kaporah he made the charuvim on the two ends of it.

9 And the charuvim spread out their wings on high and covered with their wings over the lid of kaporah, with their faces one to another; even towards the lid of kaporah were turned the faces of the charuvim.

10 And he made the shulchan of acacia wood: two cubits was the length of it and a cubit the width of it and a cubit and a half the height of it:

11 And he covered it with pure gold and made on it a katar of gold all around.

12 Also he made on it a border of a handbreadth all around; and made a katar of gold for the border of it all around.

13 And he cast for it four rings of gold and put the rings upon the four corners that were in the four legs of it.

14 Opposite the border were the rings, the places for the poles to bear the shulchan.

15 And he made the poles of acacia wood and covered them with gold, to bear the shulchan.

16 And he made the vessels, which were upon the shulchan, its dishes and its spoons and its bowls and its jars for pouring with, pure gold.

17 And he made the manorah of pure gold: of beaten work he made the manorah; its shaft and its branch, its cups, its knobs and its blossoms, were the same:

18 And six branches going out of the sides of it; three branches of the manorah out of one side of it and three branches of the manorah out of the other side:

19 Three cups made after the fashion of almonds in one branch, a knob and a blossom; and three cups made like almonds in another branch, a knob and a blossom: so it was done throughout the six branches going out of the manorah.

20 And in the manorah were four cups made like almonds, its knobs and its blossoms:

21 And a knob under two branches of the same and a knob under two branches of the same and a knob under two branches of the same, for the six branches going out of it.

22 Their knobs and their branches were the same: all of it was one beaten work of pure gold.

23 And he made its seven lamps and its snuffers and its trays, of pure gold.

24 Of a talent of pure gold he made it and all the vessels of it.

25 And he made the incense altar of acacia wood: the length of it was a cubit and the width of it a cubit; it was foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the horns of it were of the same.

26 And he covered it with pure gold, both the top of it and the sides of it all around and the horns of it: also he made for it a katar of gold all around.

27 And he made two rings of gold for it under the katar, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides of it, to be places for the poles to lift it.

28 And he made the poles of acacia wood and covered them with gold.

29 And he made the kadosh anointing oil and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the perfumer.

38 And he made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood: five cubits was the length of it and five cubits the width of it; it was foursquare; and three cubits the height of it.

2 And he made the horns of it on the four corners of it; the horns of it were of the same: and he covered it with brass.

3 And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots and the shovels and the basins and the flesh hooks and the firepans: all the vessels of it he made of brass.

4 And he made for the altar a brass-grated network, under its rim, midway from the bottom.

5 And he cast four rings for the four ends of the grate of brass, to be places for the poles.

6 And he made the poles of acacia wood and covered them with brass.

7 And he put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, to lift it; he made the altar hollow with boards.

8 And he made the basin of brass and the stand from brass, from the bronze mirrors of the women assembling, who did service at the door of the Mishkan of the kahilla.

9 And he made the court: on the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, a hundred cubits:

10 Their pillars were twenty and their bronze sockets twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their bands were of silver.

11 And for the north side the hangings were a hundred cubits, their pillars were twenty and their sockets of brass twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver.

12 And for the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten and their sockets ten; the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver.

13 And for the east side eastward fifty cubits.

14 The hangings of the one side of the gate were fifteen cubits; their pillars three and their sockets three.

15 And for the other side of the court gate, on this hand and that hand, were hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three and their sockets three.

16 All the hangings of the court all around were of fine twined linen.

17 And the sockets for the pillars were of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their bands of silver; and the covering of their tops of silver; and all the pillars of the court were banded with silver.

18 And the hanging for the gate of the court was needlework, of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen: and twenty cubits was the length and the height in the width was five cubits, corresponding to the screens of the court.

19 And their pillars were four and their sockets of brass four; their hooks of silver and the covering of their tops and their bands of silver.

20 And all the pegs of the Mishkan and of the court all around, were of brass.

21 This is the census of the Mishkan, even of the Mishkan of testimony, as it was counted, according to the command of Mosha, for the service of the Lawiym, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aharon the kohan.

22 And Batzal-Al the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Yahudah, made all that YHUH commanded Mosha.

23 And with him was Aholiav, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and a skilled workman and an embroiderer in blue and in purple and in scarlet and fine linen.

24 All the gold that was used for the work in all the work of the kadosh place, even the gold of the offering, was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred thirty shakals, according to the shekel of the Kadosh-Place.

25 And the silver from them that were numbered from the kahilla was a hundred talents and one thousand seven hundred seventy five shakals, after the shakal of the Kadosh-Place:

26 A bakah for every man, that is, half a shakal, after the shakal of the Kadosh-Place, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty men.

27 And from the hundred talents of silver were cast the sockets of the Kadosh-Place and the sockets of the veil; a hundred sockets from the hundred talents, a talent for a socket.

28 And from the one thousand seven hundred seventy five shakals he made hooks for the pillars and covered their tops and made bands for them.

29 And the brass from the offering was seventy talents and two thousand four hundred shakals.

30 And with it he made the sockets to the door of the Mishkan of the kahilla and the bronze altar and the bronze grate for it and all the vessels of the altar,

31 And the sockets of the court all around and the sockets of the court gate and all the pegs of the Mishkan and all the pegs of the court all around.

3 And they did beat the gold into thin plates and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue and in the purple and in the scarlet and in the fine linen, with skilled work.

4 They made shoulder pieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it coupled together.

5 And the embroidered band of his shoulder garment, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work of it; of gold, blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

6 And they made onyx stones enclosed in settings of gold, graven, as signets are engraven, with the names of the children of Yahsrahal.

7 And he put them on the shoulders of the shoulder garment, that they should be stones for a memorial to the children of Yahsrahal; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

8 And he made the breastplate of skilled work, like the work of the shoulder garment; of gold, blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen.

9 It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length of it and a span the width of it, being doubled.

10 And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz and a carbuncle: this was the first row.

11 And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire and a diamond.

12 And the third row, a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst.

13 And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx and a jasper: they were enclosed in settings of gold.

14 And the stones were according to the names of the children of Yahsrahal, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with his name, according to the twelve tribes.

15 And they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold.

16 And they made two settings of gold and two gold rings; and put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate.

17 And they put the two cords of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate.

18 And the two ends of the two cords they fastened in the two settings and put them on the shoulder pieces of the shoulder garment, in the front.

19 And they made two rings of gold and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, upon the border of it, which was on the side of the shoulder garment inward.

20 And they made two other golden rings and put them on the two sides of the shoulder garment underneath, toward the front of it, opposite the other coupling of it, above the embroidered band of the shoulder garment.

21 And they did bind the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the shoulder garment with a lace of blue, that it might be above the embroidered band of the shoulder garment and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the shoulder garment; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

22 And he made the robe of the shoulder garment of woven work, all of blue.

23 And there was a hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of a strong armor, with a band all around the hole that it should not tear.

24 And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet and twined linen.

25 And they made bells of pure gold and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, all around between the pomegranates;

26 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe to attend in; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

27 And they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aharon and for his sons,

28 And a turban of fine linen and beautiful turban ornaments of fine linen and linen breeches of fine twined linen,

29 And a girdle of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet, of needlework; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

30 And they made the plate of the kadosh katar of pure gold and wrote upon it a writing, like the engravings of a signet, Kadosh-La-YHUH.

31 And they tied to it a lace of blue, to fasten it high upon the turban; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

32 So all the work of the Mishkan of the tent of the kahilla was finished: and the children of Yahsrahal did according to all that YHUH commanded Mosha, so they did.

33 And they brought the Mishkan to Mosha, the tent and all its furniture, its hooks, its boards, its bars and its pillars and its sockets,

34 And the covering of rams' skins dyed red and the covering of blue/violet skins and the veil of the covering,

35 The Ark of the Testimony and its poles and the lid of kaporah,

36 The shulchan and all the vessels of it and the Lacham of the Panayim,

37 The gold manorah, with the lamps of it, even with the lamps to be set in order and all the vessels of it and the oil for ohr,

38 And the golden altar and the anointing oil and the sweet incense and the hanging for the Mishkan door,

39 The bronze altar and its grate of brass, its poles and all its vessels, the basin and its stand,

40 The hangings of the court, its pillars and its sockets and the hanging for the court gate, its cords and its pegs and all the vessels of the service of the Mishkan, for the tent of the kahilla,

41 The clothing of service to do service in the kadosh place and the kadosh garments for Aharon the kohen and his sons' garments, to attend in the kohan’s office.

42 According to all that YHUH commanded Mosha, so did the children of Yahsrahal all the work.

43 And Mosha did look upon all the work and, see, they had done it as YHUH had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moshe blessed them.

40 And YHUH spoke to Mosha, saying,

2 On the first yom of the first chodash shall you set up the Mishkan of the tent of the kahilla,

3 And you shall put in it the Ark of the Testimony and cover the ark with the veil.

4 And you shall bring in the shulchan and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and you shall bring in the manorah and light the lamps of it.

5 And you shall set the altar of gold for the incense before the Ark of the Testimony and put the hanging of the door to the Mishkan.

6 And you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the Mishkan of the tent of the kahilla.

7 And you shall set the basin between the tent of the kahilla and the altar and shall put mayim inside.

8 And you shall set up the court all around and hang up the hanging at the court gate.

9 And you shall take the anointing oil and anoint the Mishkan and all that is inside and shall set it apart and all the vessels of it: and it shall be kadosh.

10 And you shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering and all its vessels and set apart the altar: and it shall be an altar most kadosh.

11 And you shall anoint the basin and its stand and set it apart.

12 And you shall bring Aharon and his sons to the door of the Mishkan of the kahilla and wash them with mayim.

13 And you shall put upon Aharon the kadosh garments and anoint him and set him apart; that he may attend to Me in the kohan’s office.

14 And you shall bring his sons and clothe them with long robes:

15 And you shall anoint them, as you did anoint their abba that they may attend to Me in the kohan’s office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting kohanut throughout their generations.

16 So Mosha did: according to all that YHUH commanded him, so did he.

17 And it came to pass in the first chodash in the second year, on the first yom of the chodash; that the Mishkan was raised up.

18 And Mosha raised up the Mishkan and fastened its sockets and set up the boards of it and put in the bars of it and raised up its pillars.

19 And he spread abroad the tent over the Mishkan and put the covering of the tent above it; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

20 And he took and put the testimony into the ark and set the poles on the ark and put the lid of kaporah above the ark:

21 And he brought the ark into the Mishkan and set up the veil of the covering and covered the Ark of the Testimony; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

22 And he put the shulchan in the tent of the kahilla, upon the side of the Mishkan northward, outside the veil.

23 And he set the lacham in order upon it before YHUH; as YHUH had commanded Mosha.

24 And he put the manorah in the tent of the kahilla, opposite the shulchan, on the side of the Mishkan southward.

25 And he lit the lamps before YHUH; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

26 And he put the golden altar in the tent of the kahilla before the veil:

27 And he burned sweet incense on it; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

28 And he set up the hanging at the door of the Mishkan.

29 And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the Mishkan of the tent of the kahilla and offered upon it the burnt offering and the grain offering; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

30 And he set the basin between the tent of the kahilla and the altar and put mayim there, to wash with.

31 And Mosha and Aharon and his sons washed their hands and their feet there:

32 When they went into the tent of the kahilla and when they came near to the altar, they washed; as YHUH commanded Mosha.

33 And he raised up the court all around the Mishkan and the altar and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Mosha finished the work.

34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the kahilla and the tifarath of YHUH filled the Mishkan.

35 And Mosha was not able to enter into the tent of the kahilla because the cloud dwelt on it and the tifarath of YHUH filled the Mishkan.

36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the Mishkan, the children of Yahsrahal went onward in all their journeys:

37 But if the cloud was not taken up, then they journeyed not until the yom that it was taken up.
